Our patients shape us, too.

In this reflection, we’re honoring the patients whose resilience, gratitude, and trust stay with us long after the visit ends. These moments remind us why hand care is such meaningful work, and how inspiration can come from the people we are privileged to serve.

What is one patient experience that has stayed with you?

We are grateful for the AAHS Wellness Committee and the care they are bringing to this important conversation.

In the weeks ahead, this group will help lead thoughtful discussions on moral injury, burnout, ergonomics, purpose, and joy so our hand care community can build careers that feel healthier, more sustainable, and more fulfilling. This work matters for surgeons, therapists, APPs, and all who care for patients.

What helps you keep caring, together?

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more wellness content to help our community take better care of themselves and burn in for the long term.
