October at Hanfutales ๐Ÿ‚โœจ Our October Collab Highlight is here, and this month feels especially rich in atmosphere, color and character. From soft autumn light to dramatic portraits, elegant Hanfu inspired looks and beautifully crafted cosplay, we once again found ourselves surrounded by so many works that we genuinely loved. For this monthโ€™s cover, we are so happy to feature @coven.emi as Lady Gyokuyou, photographed by @sleepwalking.cos ๐ŸŒธ There is something so graceful and refined about this portrait, and the colors fit the mood of our October issue beautifully. We also wanted to give a little extra space to one image that immediately caught our attention. Our October Special Feature goes to @mixiao.cos , photographed by @dandelions.photography . We absolutely love the graceful energy of this portrait. The pose, the flowing fabric, the warm light and the traditional architecture all come together so beautifully. It feels poised, radiant and full of movement. โœจ Of course, our Top Views and Rising Stars are back as well, celebrating both the posts that reached so many of you and creators whose work we simply believe deserves more attention. As always, these pages can only show a small part of everything we received and shared this month. Every collaboration brings its own personality to Hanfutales, and we are incredibly grateful to every creator who allows us to share their work with our community. Thank you to all of our collab partners for another beautiful month. ๐Ÿค Please take a moment to visit the featured creators, show them some love, and discover more of their amazing work๐Ÿ by @hanfutales
A new chapter beginsโ€ฆ โœจ HanfuCosWorld is becoming Hanfu Tales ๐Ÿ‘˜๐Ÿ“– When we started this account, we wanted to create an open and welcoming community for everyone who loves Hanfu and cosplay. That will never change! ๐Ÿ’• But as our community has grown, so has our vision. We want to share more of the stories behind the clothing. From Hanfu and Manhua to Chinese history, culture, legends and fairy tales. The word Tales also feels especially meaningful because Toni is currently writing her very first historical novel, inspired by ancient China and Hanfu clothing! โœ๏ธ Same Toni & Ling, same welcoming community - just a new name for the journey ahead! Welcome to Hanfu Tales. We hope youโ€™ll continue dreaming, discovering and creating with us. โœจ What do you think of our new name? ๐Ÿฅฐ #HanfuTales #Hanfu #Cosplay #China #danmei by @hanfutales
When I was 18, I lived in a small village in Germany and didnโ€™t speak a single word of Mandarin. What started as fascination with Chinese characters, culture, and aesthetics led me to study China, live in Beijing and Changchun, work for Chinese companies, meet my husband, and eventually create Hanfucosworld. I discovered my first pieces of traditional Chinese clothing during a semester abroad in Beijing in 2016, long before Hanfu became as popular as it is today. What captivated me wasnโ€™t only the beauty of the clothing, but the history, culture, and stories behind it. Looking back, itโ€™s amazing how one decision can completely change the course of your life. Thank you for being part of this journey and for sharing my love for Hanfu and Chinese culture. โค๏ธ Iโ€™d love to know: How did you discover Hanfu? #hanfu #china #chineseculture #chinatravel #chinesedrama by @hanfutales
โœจ Hello from behind the scenes! โœจ Weโ€™re Toni & Ling, the account owners of Hanfucosworld, and weโ€™re happy to finally introduce ourselves properly. Weโ€™re a married Germanโ€“Chinese couple based in Frankfurt, Germany, with a shared love for Asian culture, especially Chinese history, aesthetics and Hanfu โค๏ธ Toni has a background in Sinology and works in marketing, Ling works in IT and has been living in Germany for over 10 years. Together, we love Hanfu (of course), Asian food, travelling, cosplay, gaming, anime & manga and long walks with family time in between. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Ask us about a fun fact about us in the comments!
