print sale is live! I just put up 6 prints on my site that were taken on 35mm film in Western North Carolina. All proceeds from sales of these prints will go to help local businesses in WNC who were affected by Hurricane Helene. 💛 I will post receipts for any donations made. Link is in my bio if you want to help!

One of the things that I’ve been sitting with and mulling over a lot is the way we view our bodies. In the photo industry, I see a lot of photographers offering “plus size posing”. I hear clients ask me to make them look “skinnier,” “younger,” or “prettier.”

The truth is I genuinely don’t think I’ve met a human who I didn’t think carried beauty. The way they smiled, the love they had for their partner, the curves of their body, the warmth in their eyes, their sense of humor, the way their personality came through.

It’s kind of scary to say this, because I don’t know how it will be received, but I don’t offer posing designed to make you look skinnier or photoshop retouching.

I’m on a journey toward body neutrality for both the way I view myself and the way I view others. I think it only makes sense that that translates into the way I photograph.

My goal when we work together is to capture you exactly as you are. I’m not going to try to minimize you or change you. I’m going to take photos that show off all the beauty you already hold and document the way you show up in the world.

My hope for you is that you can come to a place of accepting your body exactly as it is and then to a place of being able to thank your body and eventually to love your body.

I’m on this journey for myself right now, so we can go on it together. I’m working towards accepting my body as it appears today and thanking it for carrying me through a global pandemic, a mental health crisis, and many life changes. I’m working towards being able to love my body exactly how it is.

I want that for you, too. We’re in this together.

They came to their engagement session full of vision and their own creative ideas! I love when my sessions get to be a collaboration of your ideas and mine. if you have ideas for your shoot, please share them with me! I love when we get into that creative flow together 😊

This was a much more editorial style shoot than I’ve done in a while, but I loved it. This reminds me of my work in 2017/2018, shout out if you’ve been around that long! 🫶🏼

Robyn and Caroline got married on Saturday. It was the perfect day with just a few close family and friends surrounding them. They were so full of joy and love for each other, and it was such a privilege to be a part of their day!
