I’ve had 3 summers since finishing High School in 2009, and I wouldn’t have it any other way 🙌🏼
.
My passion for this sport, and this industry, runs just as deep as when I first started way back when I still had a full head of hair 😜
.
Excited to finally be getting around to making and uploading more technical and instructional videos in a structured way after years of talking about it 🫡 by @happychappycoaching

Jack of all trades master of none.

Haven’t spent much time in the park over the last 10 years other than coaching so been fun to get back in there for myself this spring and try get some park game back.

Had a mental block with back 2’s for years so fun to get them back today. Close but no cigar on the fr 4, hopefully this week!

For those of you tech nerds out there trying to get into (or back into) the park past your prime years: consistency is key! It takes me a couple days in a row in there to start feeling in the flow again and comfortable in that space to start trying new things.

Thanks @remarksparks for the unc friendly set up! by @happychappycoaching

Back in 2024 I went out to @ski.egypt to run a park course for the instructors there. As well as working on their own freestyle skills and coaching we also talked about park design and building features.

Since then they’ve progressed from a couple of plastic features to a full set up with multiple metal rail features and playful combinations, and this week had the Nitro Snowboard team visit for a session and clinic.

Loved my short time there and awesome to see their freestyle scene progressing over there since @egy.freestyle by @happychappycoaching

Some snippets from a sneaky spring pow day last Wednesday Sep 23 at @mthuttnz . Full recap of the day up on YouTube (link in bio).

New Zealand been delivering for my spring trip so far, with 10-20cm forecast for Hutt tomorrow hopefully score another day like this 🤞 by @happychappycoaching

Yesterday was good for the soul by @happychappycoaching

🫶 spring skiing. Groomers in the morning then corn harvest in the PM.
Fun afternoon exploring the towers zone @mthuttnz chasing @shleydawson through the slush.
Cheers broski for the retro @salomon loaners while mine were in the shop getting prepped to hopefully ski some pow tomorrow 🤞 by @happychappycoaching

Stoked to put these turns down this morning! Most symmetry I’ve had in my carve turns in years 🤣
.
Last couple years I’ve felt like my skiing has slipped from its peak a few years ago post covid when I was super fit and was training hard for my Canadian Level 4 exam.
.
So part of the goal of this ski holiday was to get out of coach cruise mode and be able to put some time and energy to getting my skiing back to where it was.
.
Also, how good is this groomer! Platter splatter at Mt Hutt, steep consistent pitch with a great fall line. by @happychappycoaching

First day skiing @mthuttnz in almost 20 years!
8cm of fresh overnight, fun spring pow day.
Forecast looks like popping bluebird for tomorrow 👀 by @happychappycoaching

Been doing back to back winters for the last ten years, and been very lucky to have travelled around a lot for work to ski some cool places and meet some great people.

But been a hot minute since I’ve had an actual ski holiday, so stoked to be heading over to NZ for a month of hanging out and freeskiing with the bro and @c.addy who’ve been living over there.

Going to be based out of Hutt, but travelling down to Queenstown for a bit end of September. NZ friends look forward to catching up for some laps, give me a holla! by @happychappycoaching

Bumps training week 5:
With lift access to the blue cow moguls facilities closing down to lack of snow, we skied in a zipper line down front valley and smashed some slush free bumps over at Mt P.

Loads of fun playing around with upping the speed and sling direct lines and getting out of our comfort zones. Thanks @freestyle_freeride_coach and @katiekreczman for coaching, see you all next week by @happychappycoaching

@ryankerr123 from @ski.hq on how his thinking about pole planting in the bumps has changed after spending more time in the competitive bumps space recently by @happychappycoaching

Perisher Instructor Bumps Training (from July 30, been slow on the video front lately).
.
With a big crew and soft snow we skied in some natural zipper lines on Mogul Matt’s, and got some hot laps in!

The second “easier” line down on the flats was awesome for getting practice in skiing a more direct line in a less scary low consequence environment, and working on pushing the athleticism and foot speed.
.
Thanks @flynnn.mooney and @lasse_faxlev for coaching and spreading the bumps knowledge and froth 🙏 by @happychappycoaching
