We’ll never forget that one. Saturday in @mandelahall was really special. Thank you to everyone who showed up and brought such an incredible energy into the room. We really felt it. Thank you @reubenbrownartist for blessing the space with your ethereal drape installation — giving us something to gather beneath and a world to sink into for the night. Big thanks to @catalystarts for collabing with us on this. And thank you @plainsailingbelfast for making all of this possible. It’s rare to find a collective with such shared values and such a genuine belief in doing things differently. It felt very special bringing our two worlds together. @barker_volteklabs , @brawni___ , @____kessler and @chaz_moloney each brought something completely their own to the room, and watching those different approaches unfold across the night was exactly what we hoped this one could be. Still processing this one. Pictures by @the_boyler by @hardware_ie

Here’s a fragment — the rest lives on YouTube now (link in bio). Up next: May 3rd — @centrepointclub with @tresorberlin and @djplanttexture @paula.koski @mareena_bln @jonas_xenon @cecilia.tosh @offtrack.csr @rustal_dub @chaz_moloney @brawni___ 24th of May — the ritual moves south west to Limerick with @benjamindamage @sinead_surgeonsgirl @brawni___ @chaz_moloney @lychee800 @fnioagrdn @ciara_barker_ @roibiorua @reubenbrownartist The current’s moving — Full video + tickets through the link in bio. by @hardware_ie
What a reaction to our collaboration announcement at @mandelahall, this will be the first event of its kind to land in the North bringing together multiple live electronic artists for an unplanned & improvised jam in the centre of the room, with visuals from some of Belfast’s finest. We’ve put together a little something to explain some of what we’ve got planned, with even more news to come… Ticket link in bio 🔗 🎟️ by @hardware_ie

Some moments stay with you. A few dusty frames from Fuinneamh — caught somewhere between the lights, the machines and the people gathered around them. That one meant a lot to us. A reminder of why we do this in the first place — for the shared energy, the chaos, the connection, and the memories made in the middle of it all. Tomorrow we do it again. Hardware x Plain Sailing Mandela Hall, Belfast Tomorrow Doors 8pm Come make new moments with us. See you in Belfast. Photos by @jim_nastic_ @wibez_photography @eilisdoherty by @hardware_ie

Draping Mandela Hall For Saturday, @reubenbrownartist has been working on an installation that will temporarily reshape the space around Hardware in collaboration with @catalystarts Taking the architecture of Mandela Hall as a starting point, Reuben has been developing a vast drape installation that will hang over and around the central setup — wrapping the performers, equipment and audience beneath a suspended layer of fabric. Part stage curtain, part veil, part temporary architecture. These scans are taken from Reuben’s working notebook — tracing the idea through references, plans, textures and fragments of Belfast’s club history. For one night, the room becomes something else. Some sets feel like they arrive from somewhere else. @kink303 and @colinbenders joined @brawni___ @chaz_moloney around the table at @fuinneamh_festival this September, and things went somewhere none of us could have planned. We’ve finally put the full performance online. Check it out on our YouTube. Next up, the table lands in @mandelahall , Belfast this Saturday with @barker_volteklabs , @____kessler , @brawni___ + @chaz_moloney in collaboration with @plainsailingbelfast . Our only Hardware event of 2026. Full Fuinneamh set + Belfast tickets in bio. by @hardware_ie
HARDWARE x PLAIN SAILING MANDELA HALL OCTOBER 10th We teamed up with @nightstaff_ to create an ode to a venue that was so formative for us and many others during a crucial time in Belfast’s electronic music history. VISUAL ARTISTS SPOTLIGHT For Hardware x Plain Sailing, the visual programme brings together two distinct practices rooted in club culture, documentary and the creative communities surrounding Belfast and beyond in collaboration with @catalystarts Reuben Brown @reubenbrownartist Belfast/Dublin-based artist, club-creative and researcher Reuben Brown works across contemporary art and queer club culture, exploring the nightclub as a space for experimentation, participation and imagining new futures. He is the founder and creative director of club [construction] — an Irish queer club collective and research platform that treats the archive as something actively being built through the people, spaces and cultures creating it. His work has been exhibited across Belfast, Dublin, London, Berlin, Brussels, New York and Los Angeles, with recent projects at Auto Italia, Catalyst Arts, The Douglas Hyde Gallery and Pallas Projects / Studios. Nightstaff Productions @nightstaff_ Led by Belfast filmmaker Ross McClean, Nightstaff Productions joins forces once again with Plain Sailing, bringing Ross’ documentary eye back to Belfast and the stories that have shaped its creative culture. Across films including Hydebank, No Mean City, Echo and his latest feature documentary Magilligan, Ross has built a body of work that finds poetry in overlooked people and places while remaining deeply rooted in Ireland. For Hardware x Plain Sailing, Nightstaff have been digging into a pivotal era of Belfast dance music and the ripple effect it left on those who were there. Their new short film exploring this era will premiere on Monday.. Hardware x Plain Sailing October 10th Mandela Hall, Belfast by @hardware_ie
