                SPLITS PARTED,
                    SINGLE PART

Three separate series on view, intrinsically connected across the spaces in HAUS as well as troughout Stien Bekaert’s work.

We welcome you to the launch of an EDITION of 10 CAREFULLY SELECTED WORKS — « In her multidisciplinary practice, Bekaert casts a critical eye on our attention economy and the way in which visual stimuli influence human emotions and behaviour.
Using complex printing processes, she slows down the rapid consumption of magazine images, street posters and social media feeds and manipulates this found footage into new constellations. » @tanja.boon

For @haus.gent–a multifunctional venue in the heart of Ghent (Belgium)–@stoonie was commissioned to design a modular table that reflects the space’s hybrid character, bridging hospitality, creativity, and community.

Made with FENIX® Rosso Namib, the table is conceived as a flexible architectural element. In its extended configuration, it creates a strong, linear presence suited for meetings and collective workshops. When separated, it transforms into two distinct pieces: a rectangular and a rounded table.

This duality allows the space to shift effortlessly between professional gatherings, hands-on workshops, and activities with children.

Material selection was central to the design process. “We chose FENIX for its intensely matt look, soft tactile feeling, and anti-fingerprint property,” said Toon Van de Gucht, aka STOONIE.
