I’ve been through enough to appreciate being here. These past 10 years especially. Survived some shit, learned some shit, even managed to thrive a little. Blessed is fair to say. 🙏🏽

I still want the money. Let’s be clear. 😂 But being able to put somebody else in a better position gives me a satisfaction I’ve learned to appreciate more.

Our name stays when we’re gone. I want mine attached to somebody who wanted people to win as much as he wanted it for himself.

I’ve had moments where a little perspective would’ve gone a long way. I think about that when I’m building Haus & Key. What can I put out that somebody could actually use?

Everything we offer will always be free. No catch. If something I’ve learned can help u carry a little less or move a little better, I’m glad to pass it on.

Move solid. Love real. Live free. 🔑

You think manifestation started on TikTok.

It did not. It started thousands of years before anyone had a phone. The Vedas called it Sankalpa, the power of intention. The Buddha taught that what you think shapes what you become. Hermes wrote it as within, so without. The idea went underground through alchemy and Kabbalah, came back through New Thought, and then went mainstream: Napoleon Hill built Think and Grow Rich on it, Norman Vincent Peale sold more than 5 million copies of The Power of Positive Thinking, and The Secret grossed $300 million by 2009. Today #manifestation has more than 46 billion views on TikTok.

As the Buddha put it, “All that we are is the result of what we have thought.”

That is why this carousel skips the magic and shows the mechanism. Set the intention, then do the work that proves you believe it.

The idea is ancient. The work is still yours.

“Just be yourself” isn’t always as simple as it sounds.

WHO ARE YOU?

We’ve all heard that advice. Maybe we’ve given it too.

But do you really know who you are?

People have asked that question for centuries.

Ancient Greek thinkers said it was important to know yourself. In the 1700s, a philosopher named Jean-Jacques Rousseau asked how much society changes who we are. Later thinkers said our choices help shape us too.

Different times. Same question.

How much of who we are is actually our own?

Psychologist Carl Rogers studied how people see themselves. His idea was simple: what you believe about yourself should match how you actually live.

Being yourself means knowing what matters to you. Having your own opinions. Admitting your mistakes. And being willing to grow.

But here’s the part we don’t always think about.

You didn’t choose everything that made you who you are.

A 2015 review of personality studies found that genes help explain about 40% of the differences in personality between people. That doesn’t mean 40% of your personality is fixed.

And the CDC reported that 63.9% of U.S. adults had at least one difficult or harmful experience growing up.

What we’re born with and what we go through can affect us. But neither decides our whole future.

So here’s another question.

Do you know who you are? And if so, do you like who you are?

There’s an old saying: “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”

Knowing yourself means seeing your good habits and bad ones. Accepting yourself means being honest about both.

You can understand why you act a certain way without making excuses for it. You can like who you are and still want to change.

Being yourself doesn’t mean staying the same forever.

You can accept who you are without being satisfied with everything about yourself.

You are not built different. You get built different. Your brain rebuilds itself around whatever you repeatedly do. London cab drivers who memorized the city's 25,000 streets grew larger memory centers in their brains, and the longer they drove, the larger they got. (Source: Maguire et al., Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2000)

James Clear put it this way: "You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems."

Stop waiting on better parts. Pick one system and feed it daily. That is how built different actually happens.

You think success belongs to the most talented person in the room. It does not. Researchers simulated 1,000 forty-year careers. Talent followed a bell curve. Lucky and unlucky breaks landed at random. The most talented people reached the top in only 3% of the runs. The winners were usually average talent with an extraordinary run of luck. (Source: Pluchino, Biondo & Rapisarda, Advances in Complex Systems, 2018)

Coleman Cox put it this way: “I am a great believer in luck. The harder I work, the more of it I seem to have.”

You cannot control luck. You can control what luck finds you doing. Stop waiting to feel ready. Do the work, show up when nobody is watching, and be working when your moment arrives.

You’ve been handing out your energy like it’s free. Every opinion gets a response, every slight gets a reaction, every stranger’s judgment gets a seat at your table. You call it caring. It’s just leaking.

The stoics kept it simple: you don’t control what people think, say, or expect. You only control what you pick up. The insight most people miss for years is that attention is the one currency you never get back, and you’ve been spending it on people who never asked for it, just assumed it.

So stop paying that tax. Your life won’t get smaller when you stop caring about everything. It’ll get bigger. Turns out peace was just minding your own business the whole time.

Not every feeling deserves to become a decision.

One of the harder lessons in life is realizing that you can feel something deeply & still be wrong about what it means.

Disappointment can feel like rejection. Silence can feel like disrespect. Fear can convince you that something is going wrong before anything has actually happened.

And sometimes, the only thing standing between you & a decision you’ll regret is a little perspective.

There’s science behind that pause, too.

In a UCLA brain imaging study involving 30 participants, researchers found that putting emotions into words reduced activity in the amygdala, a brain region involved in emotional responses.

Interesting how something as simple as identifying what you’re feeling can change how your brain responds.

But emotional intelligence isn’t about becoming cold or pretending nothing bothers you.

It’s about knowing the difference between what happened, what you felt, & the story your mind created around it.

Because maturity isn’t measured by how little you feel.

It’s measured by how much you can feel without losing your judgment.

Save this for the next time your emotions start speaking louder than the facts.

I used to think holding on meant I was strong. Like dropping it would mean what happened didn’t matter. So I kept the argument going long after it ended, and called it justice.

But nothing in the past can be governed. You cannot rewrite yesterday, you can only carry it. And I carried it at full price: sleep, focus, years I won’t get back, all paid to someone who never even noticed the debt.

So I put it down. Not because what happened was fine, but because I learned the difference between what happened to me and what I still owe it. One is history. The other is a choice. I stopped choosing it.

The hardest part is leaving a question unanswered without spending the whole night trying to answer it urself.
U can take something seriously & still give urself the evening back.

U had reasons for ur first choice.
Give those reasons some credit.
If something new comes up, reconsider.
But doubt alone doesn’t mean
u got it wrong.
