🏆 WE WON!!! EDUCATION EXCELLENCE! 🏆

We are absolutely over the moon to announce that Haus Of Seisay has WON the Education Excellence Award at @hairandbeautyawardsuk !

When we started Haus Of Seisay, we had one simple belief: care-experienced young people deserve the same opportunities as everyone else to learn, achieve, dream big and build a future they are proud of.

To now have our work recognised with an Education Excellence Award means more to us than we can put into words.

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported Haus Of Seisay and believed in what we are trying to achieve.

❤️ To our incredible Trustees – thank you for your time, commitment and belief in our vision.

🤝 To all of our amazing partners, supporters, funders, educators and industry friends – thank you for standing beside us and helping us create opportunities for our learners.

And most importantly…

❤️ To our wonderful care-experienced learners – THIS ONE IS FOR YOU.

Every qualification achieved, every new skill learned, every time you have stepped outside your comfort zone, every challenge you have overcome and every bit of confidence you have gained is the reason Haus Of Seisay exists.

You are the heart of everything we do.

This award might have Haus Of Seisay’s name on it, but it belongs to every single young person who has walked through our doors and trusted us to be part of their journey.

From a little idea in 2022 to becoming UK Hair & Beauty Awards – Education Excellence WINNERS! 🏆😭❤️

We couldn’t be prouder.
This is for our learners. Always. ❤️

HAUS OF SEISAY RECOGNISED IN THE SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT ❤️

This is a very special moment for Haus of Seisay.

We are incredibly proud that Motion S7M-01447 – Recognising the Haus of Seisay has been lodged in the Scottish Parliament. @scotparl

When we started Haus of Seisay in 2022, we had one simple belief: care-experienced young people deserve opportunities to thrive, achieve and be recognised for their potential.

What began as an idea has grown into a charity providing recognised hairdressing qualifications alongside mentoring, wellbeing and employability support — creating a different approach to education for young people who may not always thrive in traditional settings.

To now see that work formally recognised in the Scottish Parliament is something we are incredibly proud of.

Most importantly, this recognition belongs to every young person who has walked through the doors of Haus of Seisay. ❤️

Thank you to @caramckeegreens Scottish Greens MSP for lodging the motion and to every MSP who has already added their name in support.

And thank you to our trustees, staff, partners, funders, supporters and everyone who continues to believe in what we are trying to achieve.

We started with an idea.

Now that idea is being recognised in the The Scottish Parliament.

And we’re only getting started. ✂️❤️

Guys…….. hold on a minute by @hausofseisay

£20 doesn't feel like much. But to a care experienced young person starting out, it buys something that changes everything: their very first pair of scissors.

That's the moment a hobby becomes a career, and a young person who has been let down gets a fair shot at a future in hairdressing.

Every donation helps build the kit, the training and the confidence behind that first snip. DONATE 💛 by @hausofseisay

Nobody here asks where you came from.

The chair only cares about the next pair of hands. No history, no labels, no judgement - just a warm welcome, a mirror, and someone who believes in what you can build.

For every care experienced young person wondering if they'd ever belong in a salon: this one's built for you. Come as you are, and let's start. by @hausofseisay

Ever held back because you didn't feel "ready" yet? 💛

Confidence isn't the entry requirement. You don't have to feel ready before you start - you get taught, and then it comes.

Our hands-on hairdressing and barbering courses give care experienced young people the skills, mentoring and belief to build a career. You don't arrive with confidence. You leave with it.

Scissors. A gown. Combs. A notebook. This is what a gift looks like when it arrives as a pair of hands ready to work.

For a care experienced young person, a training kit is more than equipment. It is a door opening, and someone having their back.

Your support funds hands-on training, mentoring and the confidence to walk into a salon and know they belong.

This is what your donation actually does. Kit out the next student today. Donate 💛 by @hausofseisay

Every chair in here has a name on it.

Our training salon isn't a room of empty seats. It's Amira's chair, Jordan's chair, Leah's chair - places young people have claimed and grown into.

Care experienced young people are some of the most overlooked talent in this country, and one place on a course can change the direction of a whole life.

One of these chairs could have someone's name on it this term. Refer a young person who'd flourish here, or sponsor a seat so the next one can start 💛 by @hausofseisay

💚 A Special Visit to Haus of Seisay! 💚

We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming Cara McKee MSP to Haus of Seisay! 🎉

Following @caramckeegreens recent motion in the Scottish Parliament recognising the work and achievements of our charity, we are looking forward to welcoming her into our academy to see first-hand the difference we are making in the lives of care-experienced young people.

This visit is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the incredible talent, determination and achievements of our learners, while sharing how our trauma-informed approach to vocational education is helping to break down barriers, build confidence and create positive futures. ✂️✨

We are incredibly proud that the work of our small charity is being recognised at a national level, and we look forward to discussing the importance of keeping The Promise and ensuring care-experienced young people have the opportunities, support and encouragement they deserve.
A huge thank you to Cara for recognising our work and taking the time to visit us.

💚 Small charity. Big ambitions. Changing lives.
