FIA Euro Finals was just over week ago! Let’s look back at some of the finer moments of our weekend which saw us competing in the final Funny Car Cup event of the year held at the one and only Santa Pod Raceway! We know it’s a while till the next drag racing season starts up again but let’s celebrate the one we’ve just had! We came 2nd for the year out of 6 nitro funny cars in the field, which really isn’t something to be upset about in our books! 🥈 Next year we plan to come back fighting harder than ever to take that 1st place! Thank you to all our wonderful fans over the entire year! And a massive thank you to the entire team as well as any support we received during the on and off periods! Special thanks to our sponsors! • @dragdeckuk 🎥: Filmed by Eliot Ruben / @cultofthev8 #hawkracing #nitrofunnycar #nitro #funnycar #dragracing by @hawk.racing
What an absolute blast it was to represent drag racing at @silverstonecircuit CarFest 26! Let’s look back at some of the best and coolest moments of our weekend at CarFest 26! 💥💥💥 It was absolutely incredible to be part of such a huge movement in showcasing drag racing to the public at one of Britains most iconic circuit race tracks! Just so amazing to see and meet so many people who have never experienced being by drag cars, getting the full taste of throttle whacks! Thank you to everyone who came out and most importantly the @santapodraceway family! 🎥: Filmed by Eliot Ruben / @cultofthev8 #santapod #silverstone #carfest #dragracing #throttlewhack by @hawk.racing

And so our winter strip down begins now! 👀 We’ve taken the car down entirely to it’s bare bones as you can see in the pictures. What we’re doing is inspecting and tidying up the entire car piece by piece as we look to make the car lighter in weight for next year; all whilst maintaining paramount safety as always. There are some updates to be made over the off season as well! We’ve also got a whole new engine on its way from Brownsburg, Indiana! Above all, this is a mission to lighten the car so we can see it go faster! I think we can all agree that’s probably at the top of Dale’s wishlist! 🤘🏼 Massive thanks to our sponsors: • @dragdeckuk 👕Remember all our clothing merchandise whilst stocks last are available for global orders **ONLINE STORE LINK FOUND IN FB BIO** ——————————————————————————— Ever wanted to sponsor a drag car? Introducing The Crew - Episode 3 This is Simon Campbell our bottom end mechanic! By day a plant mechanic working on construction sites, during the racing season a crew member! 2019 was the year Simon found himself involved in the sport and we’ve had the luxury of having him with us since the start of this season. Being on the bottom end, you’re in charge of anything from the pan to the rods! This involves stripping and refitting new parts also! When it comes down to being on the track Simon also adjusts and sets the wheelie bar height accordingly and also releases the parachute pins for Dale. In Simon’s very own words “my job involves getting very dirty, oily and burned!” If you’re big on Funny Bikes, Simon is the crew chief for ‘stormdragbike’ certainly worth checking that out! Dale Leeks with a seriously sketchy moment at the Euro Finals! 😳 by @hawk.racing
Eliminations round saw us going up against Kevin Chapman of Thermoreg Racing! I’m sure you all watched this but damn what a wild ride this was, incredible driving by Dale of course! 💪🏼 The slow motion footage captures everything the naked eye won’t in real time! Watch as the car throws itself side ways! And to top things off, further down the track our engine decided to go pop on us as well! But that’s the nature of drag racing with nitromethane! We came 2nd place in the Funny Car Cup above all; tremendous effort from everyone involved and the entire team throughout the year! Bring on next year! 🤘🏼 🎥 Filmed by: Eliot Ruben / @cultofthev8 Santa Pod Raceway FIA/FIM Euro Finals 2026 #nitrofunnycar #nitro #funnycar #slowmotion #dragracing by @hawk.racing
Q2 happened a day later than expected! It saw us going up against John Spuffard of ‘Showtime Racing’ where we unfortunately blew motor number one. These things happen, we must remember Nitro isn’t always friendly! Although we took the win light, the damage is way too extensive for us to get our second motor built and fitted into the car in time for Q3, unfortunately meaning we will have to sit this one out. The team are working relentlessly to get everything ready for the next available round after Q3. Also, massive thanks to all the incredible fans who showed up to see us! You’re all absolutely amazing! 🙏🏼 🎥: Filmed by Eliot Ruben / @cultofthev8 Santa Pod Raceway FIA/FIM Euro Finals 2026 #nitro #nitrofunnycar #funnycar #topfuel #dragracing by @hawk.racing

**FIA Euro Finals Summary Post** 🚨 What a weekend that was! Pour yourself a drink for this one! We arrived and set up at the one and only Santa Pod Raceway for the final round of Funny Car Cup held during the FIA Euro Finals on the Thursday to get ourselves ready for Q1 held on Friday. We started the weekend just one point ahead of John Spuffard of Showtime Racing, catching Kevin Kent, who was quite far out in front, was always going to be a tough ask but you know how we roll. Dale says “For Q1, the plan was a checkout pass to 1,000ft. Unfortunately, we put two cylinders out on one side of the car, which pushed me so violently to one side that I had no choice but to step out of it. We still rolled through with a 4.7 second pass” Q2 on Friday unfortunately never happened. A crash on track caused a lengthy delay and eventually it just got too late for the whole Nitro Funny Car class, so we had to tow back to the pits and wait for Saturday. On Saturday we went back out, again planning to run it to 1,000ft. Dale mentions “The car felt really good all the way down and everything was doing what it should. I shut it off in the shutdown area and then ‘boom’ the motor let go and the car went up in flames.” Dale continues “The fire was big enough to actually burn my boot off my foot, but thankfully I escaped without any burns to my skin. The safety crew were straight there and got the fire under control, but unfortunately the motor was destroyed. Despite that, we’d run a 4.5 and the car had felt really good.” So we regrouped and the team got stuck in. Nobody gave up. We worked into the early hours rebuilding the car and fitting our second motor, finally finishing at around 3am on Sunday morning so we could make round one of Eliminations. Eliminations round arrived fairly late into Sunday afternoon due to weather, We faced Kevin Chapman in the only round of eliminations (due to time/weather). Dale adds “I got away pretty clean and the car felt like it was really on one. Then it broke traction and made a big move towards the wall. I managed to whip it away from the wall, but the car went up onto two wheels in the process. It was definitely one of those momen by @hawk.racing
