What a beautiful morning of fellowship, friendship, and celebration at HCU!

Today, Dr. Lesli Fridge, Dean of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences (COEBS); Dr. Carol McGaughey, former Acting Dean and former Associate Dean of COEBS; and Dr. Katie Alaniz, Associate Dean of COEBS Online, had the wonderful blessing of attending The Guild’s Annual Fall Coffee, where eight new members were warmly welcomed into this remarkable organization.

For more than 50 years, The Guild has brought together dedicated Christian women with a shared commitment to faith, service, and the growth of HCU. Through their generosity, fellowship, and philanthropic efforts, Guild members have made a lasting impact on the University, particularly by providing graduate scholarships that help students pursue their educational goals and prepare for lives of meaningful service and leadership.

We are especially grateful for The Guild’s longstanding investment in graduate students within the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences and the School of Christian Thought.

What a joy to celebrate eight new members joining this beautiful legacy of faith, generosity, and service! May God continue to bless The Guild and the many lives touched through its mission. 💙🧡 by @hcu_coebs

In COEBS, meaningful relationships continue to shape the opportunities we create for our students. This year’s Education and Non-Profit Career Fair was another wonderful reminder of the strong connections between our faculty, staff, community partners, and alumni.

We are grateful to the schools, districts, and non-profit organizations that joined us for this year’s luncheon and career fair. Their continued partnership and commitment to student success help bridge the gap between education and opportunity, empowering our students to explore career pathways, build professional connections, and take meaningful steps toward their futures.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s event a success! by @hcu_coebs

Dr. Fridge had the privilege of representing COEBS at the HCU College Recognition Football game last Saturday. Pictured with Dr. Fridge are the Deans of SCT (Dr. Tallon), DCOB (Mr. Rome), and COSE (Dr. Evans). The Deans and their guests enjoyed the hospitality of the HCU Athletic Department while watching the Husky football team defeat East Texas A&M University. Dr. Alaniz and Dr. King had the pleasure of representing COEBS at HCU’s Fall Husky Preview!

Dr. King represented the Psychology programs, while Dr. Alaniz shared about the Education programs. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with attentive and enthusiastic prospective students and their families, all excited about the possibilities ahead at HCU!

Both faculty members enjoyed sharing about their respective programs, answering thoughtful questions, and witnessing the excitement as students explored the next steps in their academic journeys.

COEBS is always excited to connect with future Huskies and be part of the beginning of something special! 💙🧡 by @hcu_coebs
