The Kitchen Killed Her Slowly SCREENING & DISCUSSION @3am_tea_cigaz CREATORS CARNIVAL Venue: @koogai_thiraipada_iyakkam , 20, Prakash RD, Alwadtrirunagar, Valasaravakkam, Chennai. The kitchen killed her slowly is being screened on DAY03 - Nov 1st Sunday 7pm to 10pm 4th slot The Kitchen Killed Her Slowly is an observational documentary filmed entirely on a mobile phone, following the filmmaker's @uma.sen98 own grandmother through the quiet rhythms of her everyday life. As age, illness, and breathlessness make each task more difficult, the kitchen remains the center of her existence. Through patient observation and without imposing narration, the film reveals the invisible weight of unpaid domestic labor, generational sacrifice, and a life shaped by routine, care, and endurance. #thekitchenkilledherslowly by @heart_of_cinema

The man who made our childhood so awesome is no more. I am deeply saddened to hear that the visiona filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao Sir has passed away. Indian cinema has lost one of its greatest minds today. Thank you for the magic, Sir. Rest in peace. 🙏🕊️ by @heart_of_cinema
Never try to convey your idea to the audience - it is a thankless and senseless task. Show them life, and they’ll find within themselves the means to assess and appreciate it. Andrei Tarkovsky 🎬 Russian film director and screenwriter. by @heart_of_cinema
Knowledge emerges only through invention and re-invention, through the restless, impatient, continuing, hopeful inquiry human beings pursue in the world, with the world, and with each other.” - Paul friero It’s only through genuine dialogue that we sharpen consciousness, build unshakeable bonds, and organize sustained collective strength. Yet, in a state increasingly paranoid of critical thought, the simple act of sitting together in a park to read books and discuss history was forcibly interrupted last week in Coimbatore by the state apparatus . Authority is rarely afraid of isolated leaders it is terrified of the masses gaining consciousness together. It fears people coming together through dialogue, building trust, and breaking down artificial barriers of age, caste, religion, and gender. The only lasting answer to fascism and state oppression has always been political education not as a passive lecture, but as a living process of raising consciousness through theory, history, and sharp, open debate. Over the past 10 weeks, I am deeply grateful to have found a dedicated group of young people committed to this process of learning and educating despite every friction from the state. We read, we discuss, and we move forward. “Organize, organize, organize. Education is the key. You must educate the masses so that they understand the nature of their oppression, for once they understand, they will move to change it.” — Kwame Ture by @heart_of_cinema
