POSTS STORIES REELS

Re-recording Mixer: a post-production audio engineer who balances dialogue, music, sound effects, and ambience to create the final soundtrack for film and visual media.

At the time, I didn’t even know there was an official title for what I was doing—taking years of music production experience and applying it to film.

This project is special to me. I spent countless hours in post-production repairing dialogue, creating ambient environments, matching room tone, building sound effects, designing footsteps for different surfaces and shoes, adding fabric movement, elevator sounds, breathing, traffic, scene transitions, and so much more. In this film, I created 100% of the non-dialogue audio along with the original score.

What surprised me most was how much storytelling happens through sound. If it’s done well, most people never notice it. They simply believe what they’re seeing.

I learned a tremendous amount through this process, but more importantly, I discovered that I genuinely love the challenge of shaping raw audio into something that feels natural, immersive, and alive.

Happy born day to my beautiful daughter @braunte 🥳🎂 I’m so proud of you and how far you’ve come, but above all else, I’m proud of the person you’ve become. Knowing you’re grounded, holding strong to the values I’ve tried to teach you, and always leading with love and kindness gives me so much peace. It reminds me that no matter what your future holds, you’re going to be successful in all the ways that truly matter.

Now go chase your dreams, baby girl. I’ll always be cheering you on. I love you! ❤️

Slide 3: Singing alongside me at the piano at age 4 😍
Slide 4: Performing on stage at age 7. She wanted to sing the theme song to A.N.T. Farm but it was too new to find instrumentals online so I remade the song for her 😅 by @heathergin
