Overall really happy with how the day went. Was damn close to locking out my last bench attempt and with the way it was going during prep that was better than expected. Locked out my final pull but a slight hitch kept me from an ATPR. At the end of the day I know I gave it everything I had on the platform and I’ll take some failure knowing that. Was able to still finish first in the Open tested 242 division with a total of 1554 and DOTS at 419.

A very special thank you to @elizabeth_momof5 for all that you did this weekend and every single day that allows me the opportunity to train and compete. I love you!

Thank you for @shepullsplates for making the trip to support! It really meant a lot.

Last but not least @subjectzero710 those 4 am start times paid off. Couldn’t have done any of this without you brotha. Iron Sharpens Iron and I’d choose to go to with you any day. Let’s get back in the lab and show everyone we stand on business when we show up in a couple weeks.

Last bench session, ended with a couple singles. Definitely been the most annoying of this prep but I feel with the work we put in.

Last squat session of prep in the books. Heavy double to lead into a PR on the platform

545 4x3 squat 235 8x1 wide grip bench 30 second rest and 315 5x3 speed deficits also 30 second rest. All top sets shown. Opened a whole crate of whooo ass early as hell this morning and it felt fantastic. Had to make up for some dumbass mistakes made Monday morning but we buckled down and got her done. Shoutout to my boy @heavymetaldad6 for sticking with me and always showing the fuck up 💪😤 #insamwetrust #ironsharpensiron #sbd #riseandgrind #bluecollarpowerlifter by @heavymetaldad6

Friday night pulls and an RPR. Would’ve liked to have finished the last rep but I really can’t complain about 3 total reps at this weight. Failure breeds success, and iron sharpens iron.

Little dumbbell action this morning, worked up to the 130s. Haven’t done these in a hot minute but moved pretty well.

Some heavy pendulums today instead of getting under the bar. Still throwing the weight around

Pulls are just feeling better and better, ready to bust out something big in a few weeks.

Some heavy triples and back downs for bench this week, these felt much better than my last 315 sets.

Some heavy pauses to kick the week off and proof we do our split squats.

Couple heavy sumo pulls from this morning, safe to say I’m sticking to deadlifting the gentlemen’s way.

Little AMRAP for the deload bench session this week. Not to heavy, not to light.
