GLITZABELLE X HEEVA FABRICS featuring the Abula prints on @habbizzelle #abulaprint #amalaandeweduwithgbegiri by @heevafabrics
There are seasons when people discover you through one thing and assume that’s all you are. Maybe you found us through Ewedu and Omi Obe, Maybe it was through something else. But heeva has always been bigger than a single collection. We source fabrics. We develop custom prints. We help creatives bring ideas into form. and we curate textiles designed to elevate the stories you want to tell. The table is just the beginning. What are you creating next? We’d love to be part of it. #heevafabrics #customtextiles #fabricsourcing #textiledesign #textilestories by @heevafabrics

Everybody approaches the table with a different bowl. Some want only ewedu. Some want only stew Some want just enough stew to the mix Some want plenty stew So naturally, all preferences have something for them on the website. Which one are you? 🫵🏾 by @heevafabrics
The collaboration between @heevafabrics and @haneefahadam is a multi-sensory exploration that bridges the gap between culinary tradition and textile design. By pairing the “Ewedu” and “Omi Obe” printed fabrics, the bundle creates a layered expression of food and memory, drawing directly from the familiar visual contrast of soup and stew. This food-themed fabric drop functions as a reinterpretation of the cultural experience of eating Amala with Abula, translating a shared heritage into a tactile medium. Technically, the collection utilizes geometric abstractions to represent organic food elements. The “Ewedu” print features a web-like green and white pattern with a centralized yellow-orange motif, while the “Omi Obe” fabric employs a rhythmic diamond grid in deep terracotta and orange tones. These patterns are designed to work in tandem, much like the ingredients they represent, to celebrate the vibrancy and texture of Nigerian cuisine. The attention to detail in this drop extends beyond the textiles themselves to the entire brand experience. The packaging specifically utilizes paper bags designed to mimic standard food delivery bags, reinforcing the “Abula” theme and creating a playful, immersive narrative from the moment of purchase. By treating the fabric as if it were a meal, the collaboration highlights the “Spaces In Between” daily sustenance and personal style. The collection is strategically offered in two variations to cater to specific cultural preferences: Small Stew for a minimalist approach and Plenty Stew for those who “believe in plenty pepper”. This categorization adds a layer of humor and relatability, ensuring the product feels as much like a conversation as it does a design asset. It proves that cultural references are most potent when they tap into the subtle, lived experiences. Read more stories on our website https://lagos-meet.com/ by @heevafabrics
What I made with 4yards of the ewedu print fabric from the “You’re welcome to the table” collaboration with @haneefahadam . Fabric is available to shop via the website, heevafabrics.com I wanted to make a set that I’d be able to wear as separate pieces and also decided to leave it unlined so it’s easier to layer with other pieces without being too bulky. Would you wear this? by @heevafabrics
Pack an order with me while we learn about the origins of Abula 🤭. Have you heard these before?
