A quick and ‘ono recipe for Pork Hash🥟🔥🥢 sure to make you miss your childhood manapua man!🚐🤎 GET COOKIN’: 🔥 2 stalks green onion, finely chopped 🔥 1 tsp grated fresh ginger 🔥 1/4 can waterchest nut, finely diced 🔥 1.5 lb. ground pork 🔥 garlic salt, to taste 🔥 ground pepper, to taste 🔥 2 tbsp shoyu 🔥 2 tbsp oyster sauce 🔥 1 tsp sesame oil 🔥 2 tbsp granulated sugar 🔥 1 tbsp corn starch 🔥 1 egg white 🔥 round wonton wrappers 🔥 water, as needed Combine the ground pork, garlic salt, ground pepper, shoyu, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, corn starch, egg white, green onion, and ginger in a large bowl. Stir vigorously in one direction with a wooden spoon for 3 to 4 minutes, until the mixture turns sticky. The mixing builds the protein structure that holds the dumpling together when steamed. Cover and refrigerate the filling 30 minutes. This firms the fat and makes the dumplings easier to shape. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of filling into the center of each wrapper. Gather the wrapper up around the filling and gently squeeze the sides so the wrapper hugs the pork. Leave the top open and exposed. Tap the bottom flat on the counter so it stands upright. Bring water to a boil beneath a steamer. Line the steamer with parchment paper poked with a few holes. Place the pork hash into the steamer, cover, and steam for 10 minutes. The pork should reach 160°F internal temperature and the wrappers should be translucent and tender. Serve with shoyu, hot mustard, or chili pepper water. #porkhash #recipe #hawaiifood #cooking #shumai by @heiley.h
