Happy HELLO-ween!!! 👻🎃💀 #photobypuleo by @hellobooksmi

We recently scored an excellent collection of vintage @mad.magazine paperbacks! While not in mint condition by any means, the work itself is grade A, from the greats #AlJaffee, #DaveBerg, #DonMartin, #SergioAragones, and more. Just check out a few of these great covers, and then check out the rest of the collection at Hello Books. by @hellobooksmi

Hello Books will either open late or be closed today (Saturday 9/19). We’re currently at the emergency vet with our beautiful girl, Ribbon. Thank you for understanding. by @hellobooksmi

Canadian fire! These “New Canadian Library” editions are smokin’. The fine particulate (sic) writing will leave you gasping for air. Sorry if this is triggering. by @hellobooksmi

Today is the 3rd anniversary of Hello Books!!! For you, our beloved customers, we’re offering 3% OFF all used books. Please keep us in business for 100 years! 💖📚 by @hellobooksmi

Hello Books is proud to be sponsoring @TheOutCenter’s #PrideFest across Southwest Michigan! And we’ll be on site 6/13 in Niles and 6/27 in St. Joseph with a selection of LGBTQIA+ books. (We’re sad to miss the Cass County Pridefest but we will be out of town!) We hope to see you there! by @hellobooksmi

Hello Books never knew (still don’t really believe) that books can be “retired from service” but look how the Lansing Public Schools retired that book in 1975!?!? We recently scored a ready-to-serve collection of vintage kids books from a former teacher in the Bangor, MI school system. These books have a lot of life in them (and, yes, on them) now on the shelves at Hello Books. by @hellobooksmi

We got our hands on an early printed copy of the US government’s information regarding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena. We can put it in your hands for $40 (plus $6 media mail shipping). 1953 first edition. Tears in the dust jacket, as pictured. by @hellobooksmi

One of the joys of used books is discovering the life it had before you, like with this 1982 children’s book. Inside the front cover, “Wendy” taped in a newspaper article about “Oliver,” a cat in Portage, MI. And (judging from the handwriting), she also included two photos of “Tiger,” who she says was her “special visitor for 11 years.” 😭 What an extra-special treasure. For sale at Hello Books, but only if you also have an orange cat whose story you can add to the book, too. 🐾 by @hellobooksmi

Spotlighting a few authors born on this day whose books we have in stock right now! (Sadly, quite a few we didn’t… no Kermit the Frog/Muppets books right now? Nor Depeche Mode books?) And just a reminder, we DO offer cash/trade on used books… if you have any Muppets or Depeche Mode. (Eh, Janice would just keep them.) by @hellobooksmi
