Growing up with music lovers means 80’s freestyle, Souldies, and of course Latino music from all genres ranging from TexMex to Rock en Español! I love it all!

Happy Latine Heritage Month! 🩷 Let’s show up to spaces with pride, open doors for our community, and make a difference in the world by sharing our diverse perspectives!

I’m SO ready to make an impact within the community and learn more about how to support neurodivergent and multilingual communities here is to becoming the clinician I wish to be 💜🥹🫶🏼

I am so thankful for my new mentors who saw my passion and decided I fit their vision 🥹 And I am so excited to work with my amazing peers on this project.

I’m so honored. So thankful. So blessed. God knows how badly I wanted and needed this opportunity. If you knew what this last year has been, you’d be so proud. I worked so hard for this.

Excuse my seriousness I was locked in! Oldies and cooking has been a great way to destress. Also, meal prepping has been SO helpful! 💜🎶

I am who I am because of who shaped me. I am a product of love, of dedication, of immigrants. The clinician I hope to become is one who carries these experiences forever 🫶🏼

As I wrap up my first week of graduate school, I can’t help but be in gratitude and cry some happy tears. I dreamt of this, I prayed for this, I put myself through it all for this. Every effort I’ve made up to this point served a purpose in my journey and I can help but be thankful!

If I can do it, you can too! 💜

I cannot explain the place that Belize, its people, and my now lifelong friends have in my heart. 🩵

Growing up and just a few months ago, I never thought I’d have the opportunity to do something so special, so impactful, and so adventurous.

I took the chance to put myself out of my comfort zone and decided to pursue an abroad experience and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. I hiked Mayan ruins, swam with sharks, ziplined, but most importantly…

I had the opportunity to introduce AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) to children and families to support their communication! I got to know the kindest people and their beautiful cultures and learned so much about the standard of care I strive to provide for all.

We engaged in:
Group collaboration and planning
Group Sessions
Individual Sessions
Parent training
and so so so much more

I learned SO much from my wonderful clinical supervisors @superpowerspeech @marianna820, clinicians @dlya_slp @mikayla_4_4, and from our wonderful guide @wilson.asencio.7 who have now become like family to me.
