I’ve been a few different versions of myself over the years. 😂

So I figured it was probably time to reintroduce myself and share what I’m doing these days.

Whether you’ve been here for a while or just stumbled across my page, welcome!

If you’re at a point where you’re trying to figure out what’s next, I’d love to hear what’s going on. You can grab a free 15-minute intro call through the link in my bio.

Where I’ve Been | Chapter 1

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

Not your job now. The thing you pictured before you knew anything about anything.

Mine was a teacher. Elementary school. I actually majored in it for less than one semester in college.

And now? I cannot imagine doing that job. I don’t want it. Not even a little.

But teaching is still one of the things I’m proudest of being good at. I train people constantly, and I genuinely love that part of what I do.

Turns out I wasn’t wrong about what I’d be good at. I was just wrong about where I’d be doing it.

Maybe that’s the thing about career changes. Sometimes the dream doesn’t disappear. It just shows up differently than you expected.

What did you want to be?

I have a feeling a lot of you are probably closer to it than you think.

You already know it’s time to leave your job. You’ve known for a while.

Staying isn’t the safe choice, it just feels safer because you’ve done it longer.

The room you’re in is either building you or draining you, and you already know
which one.

Nobody is coming to hand you permission on this.

How many years have you been in something you already know you’re done with? Just give me the number. I want to see how many of us are sitting in the same spot.

Most after-hours expectations don’t start with a rule. They start with you being helpful.

Answering late feels responsible. It gets noticed. And once people know you’ll respond, they stop asking whether it can wait.

Some jobs really do need you after hours, and sometimes the right move is a conversation about what’s actually expected. But if nobody ever asked you to be on at 9pm, it might be a habit and not a requirement.

And sometimes the first step is letting one message wait until morning.

What time does your workday actually end? by @heycolerealestate

Nobody becomes the bottleneck on purpose.

You built it, so you had the answers. Explaining took longer than doing it yourself. And every time you stepped in, it worked, so you kept stepping in.

Over time, being needed starts to feel like being responsible.

But a business that only runs through you isn’t something you own. It’s a job you can’t leave.

If your business can’t function without you for a week, the answer probably isn’t working harder. It’s figuring out what needs a process, what needs an owner, and what needs to stop depending on you.

Start small: This week, write down every question you get asked more than once. That list is where your first process comes from.

Be honest. Which one hit a little too close to home? 😂 by @heycolerealestate

It’s easy to say something is a priority. It’s a lot harder to actually make room for it.

And sometimes your calendar is full of things you didn’t exactly choose. Work, family, responsibilities, and everyone else’s needs.

I’m not suggesting you can just clear your schedule.

But if there’s something you’ve been wanting to change, even setting aside a little time to figure out your next step is a start.

What’s one thing you keep saying you want to do but haven’t made time for yet? by @heycolerealestate

Apparently, I’ve collected a few job titles and personality traits along the way. 😂

Some were career choices. Some were career changes. And some, like hating mustard, have been pretty consistent.

Life’s taken me in a lot of different directions, and somehow they all brought me here.

Now I’m curious… what’s one thing about you that people would never guess from your job title?

Cookie noticed. You’re doing that thing again, where you make something harder than it needs to be.

What are you overcomplicating this week? Tell me below.

Two months is about 60 days. That's enough time to finish something you've been carrying around all year.

You don't need a perfect streak. You need a plan you'll actually come back to.

Make progress. Let it be a little ugly.

What's the one habit you're starting today? Tell me below 👇 And comment FINISHLINE if you want the planner.

Sunday night brain is already planning all of it. You don’t have to. 🌙

One step tomorrow. That’s it.

Nobody told Cookie the clocks changed. Her body said it was time to get up, so it was time to get up.

She’s caught up on her sleep. I have not.

Who else got the early wake-up call this morning? 👇
