Thank you, Black Swan Yoga. 🖤 by @heyyallitspatsy

This year marks 20 years of me teaching yoga 🤯🖤

And it feels really special to be celebrating it this way…
For the past few months, we’ve been building something behind the scenes at @blackswanyoga testing it, refining it, sweating through it ourselves…

and it’s finally here (well… version 1 😏)

✨ Set & Sweat ✨
A set sequence created by our leadership teams across Austin, Dallas, and Arizona which is designed to help you build strength, confidence, and connection through repetition.

There’s something powerful about coming back to the same sequence… you feel your growth in real time. And also… it’s FUN. Like sweaty, spicy, “did I just do that?” kind of fun 🔥

I’ll be teaching it Fridays at 10:30am at Orchard and I would genuinely love for you to come experience it with me.

→ If you’ve never been, message me and be my guest 🖤
→ If it’s your birthday… tell me ahead of time so I can bake you a cake 🎂 (yes, I’m serious)

And if you didn’t know, Black Swan Yoga is donation based, so you can truly pay what feels right. The economy and life is expensive, but yoga shouldn’t be.

Let’s grow together.

Everyone thinks they can be a leader, but let me tell you- it takes a lot of grit, empathy, and humility to be a decent one. It’s honestly a delicate job that isn’t for the weak. The last few years of leading a team of 100+ has forced me into new levels of growth that I cannot even begin to put into words accurately. And to add on top, a female lead is a super power. Even in 2023, society looks towards the men in the room to do the business. I am proud (and blessed) to work for a company that supports me in breaking the glass ceiling. And I absolutely plan on breaking the sh*t out of some glass ceilings while I can 💪🏽 I didn’t realize that sexism existed the way it does with inequality until I was in my mid-thirties and and found myself running a large multi-city company. But, when I’m asked if I’m the secretary, or assuming I can’t make important decisions, or just downright ignoring me… I’ve seen it. Nothing surprises me anymore.

Women of the world - let’s do this, thing. Let’s be the CEOs, the mamas, the care givers, and the business owners. Let’s support each other and cheer one another on through all of life’s waves.

Since our team is so large, it’s important to me that they still feel connected to me in a personal way. So, here are some videos of my dumb face over the years talking to our teachers ♥️ by @heyyallitspatsy

Rule number one of this house 😮‍💨😅 by @heyyallitspatsy

The older I get, the more I realize that the little things were never really little.

The ordinary days, the familiar voices, the people we love, the tiny moments we wish we could bottle up forever.

Life is happening right now, in the middle of all the chaos. And I hope I never forget how lucky I am to be living it. 🤍 by @heyyallitspatsy

Happy spooky season! 👻 by @heyyallitspatsy

My house doesn’t get cleaned in one big Sunday reset. 😂

It gets cleaned in the random 20 minute windows between meetings, picking up the kids, making dinner, and everything else life throws at us.

Some days I get a whole room done. Other days I just move the mess from one room to another. 🤷‍♀️

But I’ve learned that 20 minutes here and there really does add up.

Anyone else running their household in tiny pockets of time? 🫶 by @heyyallitspatsy

Happy Birthday to our incredible Jessica Long! 🥳🖤

If you’ve ever had a question answered, a problem solved, or felt truly advocated for at Black Swan, there’s a very good chance Jessica had something to do with it behind the scenes. She pours so much care into our students, teachers, and team, and BSY is genuinely better because of her.

She’s smart, thoughtful, real, and one of those people who will always go the extra mile to make sure someone feels heard and taken care of.

We’re so lucky to have you, Jessica. We love you and hope this next year is SO good to you. Happy birthday!! 🎈✨

And if you see her around the studio, give her some birthday love! 🖤 by @heyyallitspatsy

40. Holy shit. 🥹❤️

I genuinely don’t know how my heart is supposed to hold this much.

This weekend was everything. Zip lining, Barton Springs, yoga, brunch, pool time, a house full of people I love, late nights, lots of laughing, and approximately 47 reminders that I am surrounded by some really freaking incredible humans.

I looked around so many times this weekend and thought, this is my life. These are my people. This is the family, the friendships, the community, the joy that I get to carry with me into this next decade.

My heart is so full it almost hurts.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, celebrated, sent a text, called, posted, hugged me, took a yoga class, jumped off something high with me 😂, hung by the pool, came to my house, or simply took a minute to make me feel loved.

If this is 40, I am SO freaking in.

Here’s to another decade of saying yes, loving people hard, laughing loudly, doing scary shit, taking up space, and never forgetting how lucky I am to be here for all of it.

40, you already look pretty damn good on me. ❤️✨ by @heyyallitspatsy
