Another Overload is just around the corner! This time, we’re standing up for freedom of cultural expressions. Now more than ever, it’s time to show that we care about our culture, that we won’t take it for granted, and that we’re ready to stand up for it. Meet our beloved live performers first:

❤︎ 𝓑𝓸𝓵𝓴𝓪
Singer-songwriter, performer and experimental music composer, Bolka happily lives and loiters in Brno. Their album schwarzkopf, released this summer on Slovak label mappa, brings together a collection of capricious love songs.

⟡ 𝓚𝓪𝓽𝓸𝓿 𝓢𝔂𝓷(𝓽𝓱) / @katov_syn
Slovak artist Dominik Novák weaves modular synthesis and field recordings into immersive soundscapes, moving between the atmosphere of deep forests, urban back alleys and the intimate nostalgia of everyday life. His debut album Tu, kde žijem, žiješ, žijeme was released on Bratislava-based label LOM in 2024.

𖦏 𝓩̌𝓪𝓴𝓱𝓮́𝓵𝓮𝓼 / @kabal_aka_zakheles
More real than reality, Žakhéles is a fictional character created by Andrej Kabal, emerging from the depths of rotten society to expose its vices through sharp, satirical lyrics. After years behind the decks supporting the KVLT crew, he steps into the spotlight with his own twisted take on a healthy lifestyle.

۵ 𝓩𝓪𝓯𝓯𝓮𝓻 𝟗 / @zaffer999999
Zaffer 9 channel tenderness into aggressive chaos, colliding post-club electronics, witchy synths and pounding beats with raw vocals that shift between spiritual chants, folk-inflected melodies and punk-like screams. Their sound balances intimacy and sonic brutality, with performances spanning the Czech Republic, Slovakia and international festivals including MENT Ljubljana and Fengaros.

The third fundraiser in the Overload series is here! This time, we’re raising money for @antena_network , an initiative supporting independent culture in Slovakia. At a time when cultural institutions and independent voices face growing pressure, we come together to show solidarity and help sustain the spaces, people and practices that keep independent culture alive. Once again, we meet at Fraktal for an evening of experimental sounds, electronic explorations and music from across the scene. Bringing together amazing slovakian blood, the evening will start with modular sonic journey by 𝙆𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙫 𝙎𝙮𝙣(𝙩𝙝), fantastically naive melodies by 𝘽𝙤𝙡𝙠𝙖, boundary-pushing rap rooted in real life by 𝙕𝙖𝙠𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙨, witchy synths and raw vocals by 𝙕𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧 𝟵 and mind-blowing deconstruction by one and only 𝙆𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙠𝙞. For the afterparty, a few tunes by mother 𝙃𝙉𝘼𝙏 and bouncy bassy latino tornado by 𝙒𝙮𝙢𝙚 & 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙭𝙤. We unite once again through music and solidarity. Every contribution counts!

🇸🇰 All profits from the event will go to Anténa to support independent Slovak culture. 🇸🇰

🍹 @divnyutvar

Divnyutvar is a dj based in Prague and the founder of Disco(very) gatherings. She will take you on a journey through cosmic, mind bending disco but not disco. Expect genres from leftfield, kraut infused dubby electronica, oriental obscurites, slow paced 90s trance or percussive, balearic tunes.

🍸 @exhausted_modern

Ladislav Zensor is a Czech musician and sound designer. His interest in music dates back to the early 2000s when he fell under the spell of illegal rave parties during their golden age in the Czech Republic. Also known as Layup, Exhausted Modern, and Oblaka, Ladislav has used different monikers to explore and transform his style of production throughout his music career. He’s now trying his hand at commercial and theatrical work and is collaborating with the contemporary dance group 420PEOPLE and visual art studio Lunchmeat.

🥂 Ciccolina e Giuliano ( @hhhnat & @plastikson )

Ciccolina e Giuliano is a conceptual Italo duo formed by two longtime friends. United by Kabinet Múz, Herna, Vitamin and Fraktal, they share a passion for unconventional rhythms, thoughtful selection and musical exploration. Their sets weave together Italo, disco, house and other genre-defying influences into a distinctive sonic journey.

This Friday, 21 November, we begin the first fundraising edition of 𝓞𝓥𝓔𝓡𝓛𝓞𝓐𝓓 with an evening of cinema, reflection and solidarity.🇵🇸

At 20:00, @kinopalestine — a Prague-based collective dedicated to amplifying Palestinian films, narratives and cultural resistance — curates a screening of three works exploring memory, displacement and the politics of daily life:
🎬 The Deer’s Tooth (Saif Hammash, 2024)
🎬 Like Twenty Impossibles (Annemarie Jacir, 2003)
🎬 In The Waiting Room (Moatasem Taha, 2023) + Q&A with the director.

Since 2023, Kino Palestine has been creating space for Palestinian filmmakers and conversations, foregrounding voices often muted in mainstream discourse and examining how history is shaped — and contested — through images.
So join us for the screening before the night unfolds into sound, community and action.
