Sometimes, meaning does not reveal itself at the end of a journey, but unfolds quietly as we move forward—through moments that seem blurred, shrouded in fog, and stripped of significance. Yet, it is precisely in these uncertain passages that we must return, look closer, and rediscover what was there all along. Too many things hit you when you stop by the gallery at night, recommended if you need time to contemplate. - Before Meanings A Solo Exhibition by Ridho Rizki at Gajah Gallery Jakarta 26 September - 8 November 2026 by @hi.frday
A corner where you can momentarily slip away from Jakarta’s relentless pace, a quiet gathering of coffee, books, and art, all tucked inside a humble old house. Nothing feels excessive, nothing tries too hard and somehow there was a sense of familiarity. - Luput Mana A Solo Exhibition by Hermawan Dasmanto. at Smiljan Pelopor Jl. Prof. Moh. Yamin No.11, Menteng, Kota Jakarta Pusat by @hi.frday
Opportunity, consciousness, and balance, whatever isn't ideal just needs time to become a story. - Right Time A Solo Exhibition by Eunice Nuh at Dia.Lo.Gue 15 August – 13 September 2026 by @hi.frday
No long lines or confusing choices. Just sat down and ordered the same menu as everyone else. The atmosphere was familiar, and everyone seemed comfortable. See you again, memories. - Gado-Gado Bon Bin Jl. Cikini IV No.5, Menteng, Jakarta Pusat by @hi.frday
Even miss the smell of the morning. by @hi.frday
Come here just for the Caramel Pudding. This place is truly a hidden gem, with a warm and cozy atmosphere like Oma's house, and the coffee and food never disappoint. This has always been my favorite spot when I want to escape the heat and crowds of Pasar Baroe. - Toko Kopi Maru Jl. Pintu Air Raya No.33, Sawah Besar, Jakarta Pusat by @hi.frday
Stumbled upon a small, secluded spot far from the crowds. This is not bragging, this is true. When I arrived, the name was familiar. I was the only customer at the time, and the barista gave me his full attention, sharing his story and recommending the best coffees for me, a man who loves his job. That's the story, I like this place, specifically the one here. - Smiljan Antropolis Jl. Balai Bend. No.12, Kebayoran Lama, Jakarta Selata by @hi.frday
Looking at the past from a different perspective. Seeing how those in "power" shape mindsets, creating standards for things that don't really need to be differentiated. Collected, named, is it really necessary? Call it Padma Raksasa not Rafflesia. Menamai | Naming at Gajah Gallery Jakarta 25 July - 23 August 2026 by @hi.frday
A place to return to, a familiarity that never gets old. Senses indulged, views beautiful. Satisfaction in complex simplicity. - Tunjungan 39 Jl. Tunjungan No.39, Surabaya by @hi.frday
Without realizing the amount of criticism these works have generated, Mas Hahan's work is truly remarkable. A reminder of the ecosystem that shapes perception, questioning validation and aspirations that may not be answered. This reverence for the process and then reframed as a critique to the industry, the public, and maybe the artists itself. - Days That Slip Away Untouched at Gajah Gallery Jakarta May 2 to 31, 2026 by @hi.frday
What a great day off work, haha. I was strolling along Cipete looking for a new breakfast spot with my nephew, my dining bro. We found a new place and decided to stop in. The menu was familiar, but served in a more welcoming atmosphere. Everything looked simple, just right, and warming. A good breakfast to start the day. - The Pandan Club Urban Forest Cipete, South Jakarta by @hi.frday
Life moves so fast that we don't even notice it. We know that in theory, but when it happens, there is no surefire formula for dealing with it. Just go. by @hi.frday
