Amorphopallus sp West Sumatra

My first Amorphopallus bloom ever! Ugly and gorgeous at the same time. Smells like those dried fish or squid you get at the Asian grocery store, but not in a good way. Not as bad as I thought they’d smell though. I was expecting more rotting roadkill.

It’s been a min. 😊 This one has sized up a bit. Currently blooming. I’m hoping to self her in the future, but also thinking about crosses I could do 🤔

Any ideas?

Alocasia wentii variegated. It’s become increasingly difficult to fit the entirety of this plant in my frame. The colors it’s given me has only gotten better over time. One of the many plants I’m looking forward to growing outdoors.

Anthurium besseae aff. This beauty was gifted to me by my friend @hannhebden a while back. It has finally given me a good leaf after a break from producing berries. It reaches a point during its hardening process where it has such a gorgeous light blue iridescence. Those who grow anthuriums know you can never capture their true colors on camera.

Another gem at @unsolicited.plant.talks 💎. Anthurium HU aka King of Spades. I’m surprised I still don’t own one of these.
