Cambridge record fair and a fun packed scary week of beats! by @hidjpodcast
The homie @trayze came to town for one gig and somehow ended up on a five-store record run. Cambridge & Somerville didn’t disappoint. 45s were flying, πŸ’Έ was disappearing, and somehow we both convinced ourselves every purchase was necessary. Camberville strikes again. πŸ“ @planet_recordz πŸ“ @bigdigrecords πŸ“ @cheaporecords πŸ“ @stereojacks4 πŸ“ @vinylindex #vinyl #djknife #CambridgeMA #SomervilleMA #RecordStores by @hidjpodcast
Baltimore Record Run πŸ¦€ Hit 6 shops across 5 neighborhoods and did a whole lotta diggin & β˜”οΈ holding along the way. Started in Fell’s Point and made my way through Waverly, Hampden, Hamilton and Mount Vernon. πŸ“ @sg_bmore πŸ“ @elsuprimo_records πŸ“ @normals_books_records πŸ“ @celebratedsummerrecords πŸ“ @instawaxatlas πŸ“ @mountvernonrecords #RecordDigging #recordstore #VinylCommunity #Vinyl #djknife by @hidjpodcast
Vermont Record Run 2 🍁 Full disclosure: this record run was supposed to be done in one trip, but ended up taking two. Vermont is too damn big. 7 shops, a whole lot of driving, plenty of GPS dropouts, some good records & a lot of kind folks along the way. πŸ“ @exileonmainstreet_vt πŸ“ @offtherecordvt πŸ“ @speaking_volumes_randolph πŸ“ @turnitupvt πŸ“ @electricmayhemvt / @inthemomentrecords πŸ“ @mountainmusicvt πŸ“ @autumnrecordsvt at @treehouse________ #RecordDigging #CrateDigging #VinylCommunity #vinyl #djknife by @hidjpodcast
Central NJ Record Run πŸ“πŸ’Ώ Five stops through Metuchen, Milltown, Bordentown, Hightstown & Princeton. Some hidden gems, crazy collections, legendary NJ music history and definitely more records than I planned on coming home with per usual πŸƒ πŸ“ @chamber43nj πŸ“ @revillagrooves πŸ“ @the.record.collector πŸ“ @randynowsmancave πŸ“ @princeton_record_exchange #DJKnife #RecordDigging #VinylCommunity #RecordStores #CentralNJ by @hidjpodcast
Final Western Mass record run! πŸ’Ώ Had to piece this one together over the course of the summer because Western Mass is BIG πŸ˜‚ But I finally made it out to the last few spots on my list. From digging through chaotic stacks and $8 record dungeons to finding Chicago Trax, disco and a few other surprises, this was a good way to wrap up Western Mass. πŸ“ @spinthatrecords πŸ“ @belltower_records πŸ“ berkshirecat1 πŸ“@robsrecordsgb πŸ“ @7artsvinyl As always, support your local record stores! ✌️ #RecordDigging #VinylCommunity #RecordStores #VinylDJ #djknife by @hidjpodcast
Another record run in the books πŸ’Ώ Portland β†’ Waterville β†’ Biddeford with my dude Sean aka @soulelujah . 45s, hip-hop, some 2010-ish era, and a lost Usher record from a cool store full of industrial & post-punk πŸ“@littlerecordsme πŸ“Enterprise Records πŸ“@recordconnection πŸ“@color.sound.oblivion #RecordStore #VinylRecords #RecordDigging #VinylCommunity #djknife by @hidjpodcast
Another Western Mass Record Run! πŸ’Ώ πŸƒ This time I hit Ludlow, East Longmeadow, Easthampton and Turners Falls, digging through 5 more record stores along the way. Found everything from dollar-bin singles to ’90s jungle, heard the story behind a seriously cool piece of Cambridge record-store history, and managed to squeeze into my final stop about 15 minutes before closing. All five spots are tagged in the reel. πŸ“ #RecordStore #VinylRecords #RecordDigging #VinylCommunity #djknife by @hidjpodcast
New Hampshire Record Run #2! πŸ’Ώ Back on the road digging through NH and hitting a few spots I missed the first time around β€” including a few y’all recommended in the comments on my last NH run πŸ™πŸ» Six more record stores, a lot of miles, and way more records to cram into my apartment πŸ˜‚ What spots am I still missing? All the shops are tagged in the reelπŸ“ #RecordDigging #VinylRecords #RecordStores #VinylCommunity djknife by @hidjpodcast
Took my buddy Stoor along for a North Shore MA record run and managed to hit 6 shops in 1 day. A lot of digging, a lot of driving and a lot of terrible jokes along the way πŸš™ πŸ’Ώ Another one in the books. #RecordDigging #VinylRecords #RecordStores #VinylDJ #djknife by @hidjpodcast
Took a drive out to the Catskills for the annual Dope Jams open air festival and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to turn it into another record run. πŸƒπŸ”οΈ πŸ“ Dope Jams πŸ“ Boom & Bloom Records πŸ“ Stooz Records πŸ“ Spike’s Record Rack #recordstore #vinyl #vinylcommunity #cratedigging #DJKnife by @hidjpodcast
I honestly didn’t know what to expect heading into this CT Record Run, but it ended up being 1 of my favorites. What surprised me most was how every shop had its own personality. From a Deadhead-inspired spot just over the New York border, to The Archive and Vinegar Syndrome’s mix of records and cult film memorabilia, to the massive selection at Redscroll, the barbershop/coffee shop combo at Uncle Joe’s, and finally an unexpected score at Mystic Disc after they pulled out six crates of old club records… every stop felt completely different. Those are the kinds of record runs I love the most. πŸ“All of the stores are tagged in the Reel #RecordStore #VinylCommunity #RecordCollector #djknife #CrateDigging by @hidjpodcast
