POSTS STORIES REELS

For 80 years, kids have trusted Highlights with their questions, worries, jokes, drawings and big feelings. From handwritten letters to emails sent today, one thing hasn’t changed: kids have something to say, and at Highlights, we believe it matters.

Reading and responding to children has always been part of who we are, because listening to kids is one of the ways we help them feel seen, heard and understood.

As we celebrate 80 years of #GrowingUpHighlights, we’d love to hear from the kids in your life. Invite your Highlights kids to write to us at letters@highlights.com or mail a note to:

Time flies when you’re having fun! Can’t wait to see what the next 80 years has in store for us ✨ by @highlightsforchildren

One of the most meaningful gifts we can pass down is a family story. 🧡

There's a Mexican phrase that says people die when they are no longer remembered. Día de los Muertos is a beautiful tradition that keeps loved ones alive through remembrance and celebration.
In our How Do You Celebrate? series on Highlights Parents, we celebrate diverse cultures and religions by sharing the traditions that bring families together. So tell us … HOW DO YOU CELEBRATE? by @highlightsforchildren

The best part of fall isn’t always the big things—it’s the little moments in between. 🤎 #ad

A cozy night at home, a blanket, a snack, and time together with @highlightsforchildren turned into one of those simple family moments I know we’ll remember.

From working through activities to laughing at the silly parts, I love how something so simple can spark conversation, curiosity, and connection.

As we ease into the holiday season, I’m trying to make more room for moments like these… just slowing down, being together, and enjoying the little things. ✨

Well, wolves don’t actually howl *at* the moon. Instead, they mostly howl to communicate with their pack over long distances. Different howls send different messages. Some rally the pack for a hunt, others warn the pack of a threat. Sometimes wolves may even howl just for fun! Scientists believe that when a pack of wolves howls together, it helps the group bond — almost like a sing-along 🎶

🤔 So where did the idea of wolves howling at the moon come from? Wolves often hunt at night and lift their snouts to the sky when they howl — this may have led to the belief that they were directing their calls to the moon. But the real reason wolves raise their snouts is to help the sound of their howls travel farther.

Pretty cool, huh? 🐺🌕 by @highlightsforchildren
