Haven’t posted in a while. Navigating the tumult. I thought this piece from “Seeing Impossible Color” titled “Through the Lens of Extravagant Hope” is relevant for what we are all facing. We need hope, it needs to be overwhelmingly imaginative, overwhelmingly extravagant and relentless. We need each other, we need love. Praying for hope, praying for you although I don’t know you yet, and taking small action where I can to reach out. I can’t do this alone, never could and never will. Love you all! Love and be patient with those around you. ☝️I’m not perfect, this message is for me too. #seeingimpossiblecolor #extravaganthope #staystrong #hope #corona #keepcreating #art #nevergiveup by @hilarywhiteart

“All My Idols Fail Me” -detail image of full sculpture.
Part of a new series in progress. This piece will be on exhibition @casselberryarts August 22nd. Every section of this three part series was made by hand, even the chain. It was Sculpted, painted, cast, carved, laminated in studio. Really got experimental with the processes I used on this, made a lot of discoveries through failures and I am excited about the results. Full series of three to be completed soon for an upcoming solo exhibition in the (not too distant) future.

It’s always a challenge to photograph these sculptures. Saw it on the sidewalk and thought it was better than my studio lighting. 😐

I love seeing people create and grow and achieve more than they thought possible. I’m overwhelmed by it, Its more than I can take in, it’s amazing….just to be alive, to see my children grow, to watch the sun set as my runners cross the finish line, to see a student create something they thought they didn’t have the ability to create….I am thankful. God is everywhere. by @hilarywhiteart

I am coaching the first cross country team at the school I teach at, and I am proud to have my son on the middle school boys team. He has never run before and had his first week of practice, ending in his first race 3K race! He finished right in the middle 148th out of 246 boys! So proud of him. I hope we have a lot more laughs and miles together ❤️. by @hilarywhiteart
