Meet Hilal, She’s a tattoo artist based in Istanbul, Turkey. She takes vibrant botanical tattoos and turns them into something modern with a fine line work and typography. I think she’s the reason I started loving orchids… To me, her approach to floral realism work feels like a breath of fresh air. Hilal is someone I follow closely and whose work I’d love to wear myself. That’s why I wanted to share her work with you guys. Great art exists everywhere, but it doesn’t always travel. Language, geography, algorithms… they all create invisible walls around talent that deserves wider audience. I believe artists and studios should be able to find each other regardless of where they’re based. There is more happening in Turkish tattooing than most people outside of it gets to see, and I want to keep trying to change that one artist at a time. If you like @hill.inkk ‘s work and would like to work with her, reach out to her via email or DM! by @hill.inkk
