Today I was invited to attend a book signing and networking event hosted by Guardian Recovery Immersion, where I met the incredible @colettejanefehr author of the powerful book The Cost of Quiet.

In The Cost of Quiet, she shines a light on the epidemic of avoidant behavior and how to overcome it. Drawing from the latest attachment science and the evidence-based therapies she’s used to support and repair the bonds of hundreds of couples, she offers tools to approach our relationships with openness, honesty, and vulnerability. Her work reminds us that the ultimate goal is a securely attached relationship—one where conflict can be engaged with productively and where we feel the confidence that comes from speaking up and being heard. Because a good relationship is always worth fighting for.

Thank you, Colette, for being so vulnerable, authentic, humble, and real. I deeply appreciated hearing your story, and I connected with you on so many levels. As someone who has always been on the quieter side—playing it safe, avoiding conflict, and prioritizing others’ comfort—you empowered me to recognize that it’s okay to be assertive, to speak up, and to do so with kindness.

I’m truly grateful to have met you. 🦋✨🩵 by @hillaryhealinghearts
