Trader Vic’s recently dropped their new summer menu and we couldn’t miss trying it out. Here’s the blueprint for your next visit: • Potstickers (absolute 🔥) • Tropical tuna carpaccio (refreshing and flavorful) • Beef bulgogi & smoked cedar plank salmon (our mains: both delicious; the latter, an awesome take on a poke bowl) • Peach City stir fry (a tasty representation of GA on a plate) Don’t sleep on the sweet soy broccoli side - it’s addictive. And for dessert, though all are tasty, the bananas foster remains our favorite. Of course it’s not a Trader Vic’s dinner without sampling the massive cocktail list (each with its own custom tiki cup). Our favorites this time: SF Mai Tai, Sunset Swimmer, and the Koana Puffer. Have y’all been to this downtown Atlanta staple lately? PS: Their patio is set up for FIFA World Cup viewing. The perfect spot to catch a game with a Mai Tai in hand. You’ll find paradise at this true Atlanta hidden gem! @tradervicsatl in @hiltonatlanta! 🌺🍹 John and I recently enjoyed a date night at Trader Vic’s Atlanta, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary! Located on the lower level of Hilton Atlanta, it feels like stepping into paradise, with a hidden hideaway filled with tiki and South Pacific vibes that transport you to the islands! Plus, Polynesian-inspired cuisine and tiki cocktails abound! If you look at the video, you can see the custom Chinese wooden ovens where they cook wood-fired meats like the pork, salmon, and beef tenderloin we enjoyed that evening. And if you have a special occasion, you’ll get lei’d! It’s the perfect unique date-night spot, or really, for any occasion. Here’s what we tried: 🥥 Painkiller: Sweet, boozy, and creamy with rum, coconut, and pineapple, topped with spicy cinnamon and served in the cutest tiki mug. 🐷 Char Siu Pork: Super tender and smoky from the Chinese wooden oven, with a sweet glaze and sesame seeds! Served on a flame. 🥟 Edamame Potstickers: Divine, with earthy and sweet edamame filling, a crunchy fried shell, bright citrus ponzu, and shishito peppers. I could drink the ponzu; it’s that good! 🐟 Smoked Cedar Plank Salmon: Tender and perfectly cooked, smoked with a savory sauce and mushrooms on top. Served with a poke bowl featuring spicy mayo, rice, edamame, seaweed, cucumber, mango, and soy sauce. 🥩 Ma Ming-Non: Beef tenderloin steak perfection! Perfectly cooked and seasoned with a tangy cherry jus sauce. I couldn’t get over how juicy this steak was! Served with tempura mushroom, bok choy, and saffron potatoes. 🍹 Trader Vic’s (@tradervicshospitality) is the birthplace of the original Mai Tai, created by Victor “Trader Vic” Bergeron in 1944. It is citrusy and boozy! Are you joining us in paradise? Fun fact: Our table was featured in an episode of Loki! Follow @adventuresinatlanta for more tips like this!
