Bringing Filipino stories to the global stage takes authenticity—and DreamWorks’ Forgotten Island delivers just that. 🇵🇭✨ Inspired by Philippine mythology, it needed to sound authentic, so DreamWorks came to the Philippines and tapped Hit Productions to be part of the journey. Our team recorded the Las Piñas Bamboo Organ—a two-century-old instrument unlike anything else in the world. We also recorded vocalists from Lake Sebu, carrying the music of Mindanao’s highlands into the heart of the film. Finally, we recorded sessions with Lea Salonga for her role as Manang, welcoming one of our most beloved performing artists into the story. 🎙️ For composer Nathan Matthew David, the Las Piñas sessions were a highlight: “...the entire Hit Productions fam were incredible in recording the bamboo pipe organ for Forgotten Island. The recordings were technically flawless and sonically delicious. They truly helped in capturing a historic and iconic sonic signature in the film’s music.” Several of the film’s most distinctive sounds were recorded by Filipinos, in the Philippines. A real Pinoy Pride moment. 🙌🏼 Forgotten Island is now showing in cinemas. TAYO NA! #HitProductions #ForgottenIsland #DreamWorks #TayoNa by @hitproductions

ICYMI: Philippine Airlines' "Safetynovela" has been racking up awards and recognition all year—both locally and abroad! ✈️ Whether you caught it in-flight or saw it on social media, Hit Productions is honored to be part of what made this a truly memorable film. Transforming airline safety instructions into an entertaining experience meant stepping up the craft. With that, here’s an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how our team elevated the story with nothing less than a live orchestra! The goal was simple: make viewers feel like they’re watching a classic telenovela, not just a safety video. Inspired by timeless Filipino love songs, composer-arrangers Arnold Buena and Joaquin Santos, together with audio engineer Daryl Reyes, crafted a score that brought the entire vision to life. ✨ 👉🏻 Watch the full-length behind-the-scenes through the link in our bio. #HitProductions #PALSafetynovela by @hitproductions
Vic Icasas, CEO & Managing Partner of Hit Productions, will be one of the speakers on AI in Production: Ethics, Creativity, and Legalities at the 5th 4As GMM on October 28. In 2023, Vic organized an AI taskforce to spearhead the company’s strategic integration of artificial intelligence. Now a recognized industry voice on the topic, he focused on AI ethics in his contribution to a grassroots policy paper published by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung in 2025 and completed the EO AI Integration Lab at Stanford in March of 2026. Regularly invited by brands and industry organizations to share his insights on AI, he most recently took the stage at DigiCon 2026, sharing how Hit Productions adopts AI as a tool, not as the artist: the craft that makes work ownable has to stay human. In his GMM talk, he will bring these perspectives, drawn from his work in policy, learning, and practice, to the questions the creative industry is asking about AI. Hear Vic speak at the 4As 5th GMM on October 28! This event is exclusive to 4As members only. 2 free seats per agency. RSVP on or before Oct. 23. What a session! 🎶 We were honored to host Nathan Matthew David (@nathanmdavid), Hollywood film composer behind the score of DreamWorks’ "Forgotten Island", for a learning session with the Hit Productions team today, Oct 20. Our composers, sound designers, and creatives sat down with Nathan to talk about his journey, his creative process and collaborations, the technical side of scoring, where the industry is headed, and what it means to build a career in Hollywood as a Filipino. We also got into the making of the Forgotten Island score and the stories behind it. Thank you, Nathan, for spending time with us, and giving us a glimpse of your journey. Your story truly inspired us here at Hit Productions. We’re proud of the trails you’re blazing for Filipino creatives. 🇵🇭✨ Be sure to check out Forgotten Island and listen closely to the score! #HitProductions #ForgottenIsland by @hitproductions

It was a big week for Hit Productions at Kidlat 2026! 🎉 Our newly minted ECD, Arnold Buena, hit the Kidlat Unprompted_ stage to break down Human Authenticity in the Age of AI. His main take for brands and creatives? AI is a tool, not the author. Prompting an AI tool doesn't grant exclusive copyright, and brand assets shouldn't be a legal gamble! The solution is a Hybrid Workflow: humans create the musical DNA, use AI as an instrument to explore, and own the final creative work. 🎵 Bringing the point home, Hit Productions arranger-composer BP Valenzuela and a live string quartet performed "Logic"—a piece BP wrote 12 years ago, reimagined live on stage. Fully human-made, unprompted, and unforgettable. 🎻✨ To top it off, Chairman Dennis Cham, CEO Vic Icasas, and arrangers/composers Arnold Buena and Joaquin Santos took the stage to bring home: 🏆Audio Production House of the Year 🥈 Silver – Outstanding Music Design (PAL’s Safetynovela) 🥈 Silver – Outstanding Sound Design (PAL’s Safetynovela) Big thanks to Kidlat Awards! Here’s to evolving with tech while keeping the craft human. ✨ #HitProductions #KidlatAwards2026 #KidlatCreativeFestival by @hitproductions
