🥪 Happy National Sandwich Day! 🐝

Legend has it the sandwich was invented at a card table. 🃏 John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich (born on this day in 1718), supposedly didn’t want to leave his card game for a meal, so he asked for meat tucked between two slices of bread. Hands free, game on, and history was made.

A snack invented so nobody had to step away from the table? That’s about as Vegas as it gets. 🎰 So the Hive wants to know… where’s the BEST sandwich in Las Vegas? 🤔

Neighborhood deli, downtown classic, or a hole-in-the-wall spot everyone should know about. Drop it in the comments! 👇

🍯 Bonus: what’s on your perfect sandwich? (Honey 🐝mustard absolutely counts.)

Hello, November! 🍂 Halloween is in the rearview, the clocks just fell back, and somewhere out there someone is already untangling the holiday lights. 🎄 Is that you? 👀

No judgment here. Whether you’re Team Decorate Today or Team Wait Until After Thanksgiving, today is the perfect day to reset your space for the season ahead.

Your November reset:

🎃 Pack away Halloween — Toss anything broken, and compost those pumpkins.

📦 Label your storage bins — Future you will thank present you next October.

🍁 Lean into fall — A few warm touches like candles, throws, and seasonal colors can carry you right through Thanksgiving.

💡 Test before you hang — If you’re decorating early, check your lights and extension cords before they go up.

🏠 Renting? Use damage-free hooks, and check your lease or HOA guidelines before hanging anything outside.

😴 Enjoy that extra hour — Use it to rest, recharge, or just sip your coffee a little slower. ☕

So, be honest: when do the holiday decorations go up at your house? 👇

Happy Halloween! We've all had a lot of fun over the last few years being generally spooky and fabulous together. 🎃👻 It's one of my most special times of year. #thisishalloween #frightnight #halloween #zakunscripted by @hiveregrouplv

🎃 Happy Halloween from the Hive! 🐝 Tonight the whole neighborhood buzzes with ghosts, goblins, and a few extra-sweet treats. 🍯 Whether you’re handing out candy, hitting the trick-or-treat trail, or staying in for a spooky movie marathon, we hope your night is un-BEE-lievably fun! 👻

A few quick tips for a sweet and safe night:

🔦 Light the way — Keep porch lights on and walkways clear for little trick-or-treaters.

👀 Be seen — Glow sticks and reflective tape help costumes stand out after dark.

🚗 Drive slowly — Neighborhood streets will be full of excited kids tonight.

🐾 Watch your pets — A quiet room keeps furry friends calm when the doorbell won’t stop ringing.

And don’t forget: clocks fall back an hour tonight, so enjoy the extra hour of sleep! 🕐

Now tell us: what’s your costume this year? Drop a pic in the comments or DM us! 👇📸

🐝 Have a bee-witching Halloween!

On October 31, 1864, Nevada officially became the 36th state, and this year we’re celebrating 162 years of the Silver State! 🎉 Nevada joined the Union during the Civil War, which is why “Battle Born” appears right on our state flag. And our nickname comes from the massive silver discoveries of the Comstock Lode that helped put Nevada on the map. ⛏️

A few fun facts to share today:

🌿 The state flower is sagebrush — the scent you smell after a desert rain.

🐦 The mountain bluebird is our state bird.

🐢 The desert tortoise is our state reptile, and you can still spot them across Southern Nevada.

🌲 The bristlecone pine, one of our two state trees, is among the oldest living things on Earth.

From the bright lights of Las Vegas to Red Rock, Lake Mead, and the wide-open desert, we’re proud to call this place home. 💜

Happy National Cat Day to all the feline roommates who let us live in their homes! 🐱 Whether you share your space with a cat, a dog, or a whole zoo, a few smart design choices can make home more comfortable for everyone.

Simple ways to create a pet-friendly space:

🐝 Think vertical — Wall shelves and cat trees give cats room to climb and lounge.

☀️ Create a window perch — A sunny lookout spot keeps pets entertained for hours.

🛋️ Choose durable fabrics — Performance fabrics and microfiber hold up better to claws and fur.

🪵 Pick tough flooring — Luxury vinyl plank and tile are scratch-resistant and easy to clean.

🧺 Hide the essentials — Litter boxes, food bowls, and toy bins can tuck neatly into cabinets or a cozy nook.

🔌 Tidy up cords — Cord covers keep curious paws and teeth away from wires.

Renting? Look for no-drill options, and check with your property manager before mounting anything to the walls.

What’s your pet’s favorite spot in the house? Show us below! 👇📸

👻 Spooky Rental Myth: “You can’t rent with pets.” 🐾 BUSTED! 🚫

This is one of the scariest myths out there, and it keeps a lot of pet parents from even applying. At Hive Real Estate Group, most of our properties consider all animals with additional pet deposits. Your furry (or not-so-furry) family members don’t have to be a dealbreaker. 🐶🐱

Quick note: Under fair housing law, assistance animals are not considered pets, and pet deposits don’t apply to them.

Tag a pet parent who’s been nervous to start their rental search! 👇

🎃 Happy National Pumpkin Day! 🍯 Whether you carve them, decorate with them, or bake them into a pie, pumpkins are the unofficial mascot of fall. And here in the desert, they do double duty as one of the few signs that sweater weather is finally on its way. 🍂

A few pumpkin tips from the Hive:

🎨 Paint instead of carve — Painted pumpkins last weeks longer than carved ones, especially in our dry Vegas air.

🕯️ Go flameless — LED tea lights keep the glow without the fire risk on porches and patios.

🌱 Compost after the season — Skip the trash can. Pumpkins break down beautifully in a backyard compost bin or garden bed.

🥧 Save the seeds — Rinse, season, and roast for an easy fall snack.

Now the important question: are you Team Carve, Team Paint, or Team Pumpkin Pie? Drop your answer below! 👇

🐝 From our hive to yours.
