Throwback to Orama, where I took 4th in Novice Jack & Jill 🕺✨ That placement earned me the points to move up to Intermediate, and I’ve now gotten to compete in the division. I’m proud of the work that got me here and grateful to everyone who danced with me, taught me, and cheered me on. Here’s to the next level! 💪 by @hmhansome

Second time hosting the Spotlight Sessions at B-Side Boogie!
Thank @avecnou for dancing this spotlight with me. Such a great partner and always getting better. My favorite moment in this was the lyric about going left and we take a right. Sent you out to the left and then we moved to the right. 🔥
Thank you to @atomicballroom for allowing me to host this and give y'all a space to practice! by @hmhansome

Ever wanted to dance in front of people but didn't know where to start? Spotlight Sessions are a fun way to try it.
Our next one is Monday, Oct 12 at 10:15PM during B-Side Boogie at Atomic Ballroom. There are 5 spots, and you can pick your own song or let me choose one for you.
To sign up, DM me @hmhansome or ask the front desk. Not dancing a spotlight? Come cheer on the dancers in B1, or keep dancing in B2.

Nope, we did NOT whisper, “Okay, now we’re doing the thing!” 😂

I heard it, went for it, and he listened. 👂✨

That’s the magic of WCS: split-second choices + a partner who’s actually listening. More “what the heck were you thinking” dance content? by @hmhansome

Was this chaotic on my part? Yes. 😂
Did I have the best time? Also yes. 🙌

I’m working on hearing and expressing what I’m hearing, navigating all of that within a partnership, editing (… still struggling with that one 😬), and, figuring out how to stay ME.
Thank you, Hans, for being such a great partner—for being down to fully send on the chaos while also keeping us grounded. 👏🏽 And for hosting these spotlights and giving us all a place to play!
SO grateful for this community of friends who cheered us on, laughed with us, and made it feel less like a spotlight and more like a room full of friends having fun together. 🙌🏽☺️. by @hmhansome
