Let’s be honest: Big weddings aren’t for everyone. 🕊️

In a city like Vancouver, where the beauty is in the details, we believe your wedding day should feel like you. No loud speakers, no rushed schedules—just a sun-filled studio, your dream dress, and your favorite people.
Whether it’s a legal signing ceremony or a chic elopement, we’ve designed our space to be your all-in-one sanctuary. 🤍

For many modern couples, the wedding day is a whirlwind. Between the tight timeline and the early morning wake-up calls, the meaningful moments—like the Tea Ceremony—often get lost in the chaos.

✨ Preserve the tradition. Prioritize the memory. Skip the wedding day fatigue.

The Secret to a Stress-Free Wedding Morning? Do your Tea Ceremony early. ☕️

Vancouver gave them rain. They made it a beautiful day anyway. 🌧️🤍

Last week, surrounded by their favourite people, this couple said I do in our studio.

No rushing. No distractions. Just happy tears, familiar faces, and hugs from the people who know them best.

And that’s one of the best things about an intimate wedding: you actually get to be there for your own wedding day.

Not just pose for photos. Not just move on to the next thing. But slow down and enjoy the people who came to celebrate you.

Would you choose a cozy indoor wedding on a rainy Vancouver day?

Save this for your wedding inspiration.

Rainy Saturday? Your engagement photos can still look like this.

Who says engagement photos need blue skies, sunshine, and a beautiful outdoor location?

Sometimes, the magic is in the lighting.

Soft directional light, warm tones, a thoughtfully styled space, and the right shadows can create a more intimate, cinematic mood — like these moments captured in our studio.

Planning your engagement session? Save these 3 tips:

1. Choose a mood, not just a location. Think romantic, cinematic, editorial, or cozy. This helps shape the entire look of your photos.
2. Lighting matters more than the weather. Indoor lighting can be carefully controlled to create depth, flattering skin tones, and beautiful shadows.
3. Give yourselves something to do. Pour a drink, sit close, talk, laugh, or simply look at each other. Natural interaction often makes photos feel more personal than posing alone.

The best engagement photos aren’t necessarily taken on the sunniest day. They’re the ones that feel like you.

After the ceremony, we took this couple into downtown Vancouver —

• Choose 2–3 nearby spots. More locations don’t necessarily mean better photos. Give yourselves time to enjoy each moment.

• Leave room for the unexpected. A quiet street, a spontaneous laugh, or the way you look at each other can become your favourite photo.

• Focus on each other, not the camera. Walk, talk, hold hands, and be yourselves. Your photographer can guide you along the way.

• Build in enough time. Around 30–60 minutes can work well for a relaxed city session, depending on travel, crowds, and your shot list.

Your wedding day is already full of moments shared with everyone else.

Make a little room for moments that belong to just the two of you.

Stop spending thousands on decor. Spend $25 on props instead. 🫧

A rich wedding gallery has two chapters:
the classics — formal groups, the kiss, everyone at their best;
and the fun ones — $10 ”Just Married“ sunglasses, $12 bubble guns, zero stiff poses.

Two moods, one gallery. That‘s what makes it feel full.

📌 Save this for your wedding day.

He cried before she even finished reading. 🥹

No audience, no performance — just the two of them, reading the vows they wrote for each other.

You don’t need a room full of people to feel surrounded by love. 🤍

You just need the right ones.

The ones who walk beside you.
The ones who tear up watching you say “I do.”
The ones who cheer a little too loudly when you finally kiss.
And the ones who make the whole room feel full.

That’s the beauty of an intimate wedding.

Not smaller love.
Not fewer memories.
Just more room to actually feel every single one of them.

Your favourite people. One room. One very happy day. by @hnwedding

They invited fewer people — so they could enjoy more of the night.

After their Stanley Park ceremony and a little time away for portraits, everyone came together at Riley’s for dinner.

No oversized ballroom.
No endless tables of people they barely had time to talk to.

Just good food, candlelight, family, close friends — and a room that actually felt full of energy.

This is what we love about smaller weddings.

It’s not about doing less.
It’s about having more time for the people, the food, the conversations, and the moments you actually want to remember.

And when dinner turns into a dance floor like this…
you know everyone stayed for the right reasons.

A wedding doesn’t need to be huge to feel unforgettable.
