My Energy🔋Depends On Your Grip🤝 by @holdtheropetraining

Daily gym sessions. Hours of work when nobody was watching. Early mornings, late nights, back-to-back workouts, hundreds of shots, and plenty of sacrifices.

As I head into my 7th-grade season, I’m proud of the work I’ve put in over the past three years. I picked up a basketball at 10, and sometimes I still surprise myself with how far dedication and hard work can take you. My 13th birthday is tomorrow and my middle school season starts this weekend- I’m locked in, new level unlocked 💪🏾

For such a dedicated basketball player, surpirsingly the goal was never the WNBA for Alexis Burke. Instead, she wanted to travel the world and use basketball as a way to do that; which ultimately took her to Mexico, France, and Slovenia.

Alexis' story is a reminder for young athletes: there isn’t just one way to make sports part of your life. You can play professionally, you can coach, mentor, or even start a sports related business. There may be opportunities you aren't even aware of yet.

Alexis Burke’s Path to the Pros episode is out TODAY. Listen now.

From playing basketball professionally to helping the next generation navigate their sports journey, Alexis Burke always comes back to one thing: service.

This Saturday on Path to the Pros, Alexis shares how discipline has supported her through both good and bad times. Now as a coach and mentor, she wants the next generation to know that your sport may be apart of you but it was never meant to be all of you.

🏀 Alexis Burke joins Path to the Pros this Saturday.

Don’t force the shot 🙅🏾‍♀️

Drag out and get back down hill and make a play 🎒🏀

It’s important to be able to create the same shot on both sides of the floor 💥🏀🎒
