POSTS STORIES REELS

When we started Hold The Storm, we wrestled with why we existed and how to say it. There are great brands built for dads, but we knew our message was for men… but not a “be better” like most. If you’re anything like us, there’s already a voice in your head keeping score of where you’re falling short. You work too much or not enough. You don’t make enough money. You’re not fit enough, patient enough, disciplined enough or present enough. There always seems to be another standard you haven’t reached.

Still, a lot of good men keep showing up.

They go to work, come home, care for people, sacrifice, protect peace, carry pressure quietly and try again after getting it wrong. They hold the storm and create shelter from the chaos of the world for the people they love. That can be lonely and heavy, and much of it goes unseen - and isn’t celebrated by mainstream society. Men in the United States die by suicide at nearly four times the rate of women.

We believe God has placed a unique strength in ever man: a capacity to carry weight, protect, make peace and remain present when things get hard. To hold the storm.

Ultimately, we imitate Jesus, who stands in the middle of the storms in our lives and speaks peace to the waves. (Mark 4:39–41)

Hold The Storm exists to remind men that their presence matters and their strength is needed. It’s a quiet rebellion against the noise, lies, and distractions of this world. We want to give language to what often happens quietly, make visible what goes unseen and remind a man that he isn’t carrying it alone.

One idea that has shaped us deeply comes from @thejamiewinship: “The gospel isn’t about behavior modification, it’s about identity restoration.”

That’s what we hope to do here too. Because when a man remembers who he is, it changes how he shows up: at work, as a father, as a husband, with God, with his friends and even in how he sees himself.

So whether you’re holding the storm, married to him, raised by him or know a man who needs to be reminded who he is… we’re glad you’re here.

This was one of the first HTS shirts that really connected.

STORMS COME. FATHERS STAY.

We’re bringing it back in a new version for Father’s Day.

The lightning bolt is the chaos you face: grief, pressure, fear, the weight of showing up; the storm… the things that come without asking.

It’s what a man takes hold of - what life puts in front of him - so the people he loves can breathe a little easier.

That’s what it means to hold the storm.

Not to control everything.
Not to pretend it isn’t heavy.

To stay present in it.
To carry what needs carrying.
To be a shelter for the ones entrusted to you.
