#chicago trip photo dump! Had a great time seeing family and touristing around. Made the mandatory trip to @miskatonicbrewing and enjoyed some @skeletonkeybrewery at the local pumpkin patch 😋🍻. Not a bad way to start my favorite season! 🍂

It took four sessions spanning July 2023 to April 2024 to complete the vaporwave KonoSuba waifu beach episode sleeve- and here it is!!! Thank you @hammerheart.tattoos for bringing my pipe dream to life 💪! The final result is stunning and it was super fun working on this project together!! 🌅🏝️

Got my very first #tattoo two weeks ago! I chose to commemorate my time studying and working with the majestic #sturgeon fish. My graduate degree and early professional career focused on sturgeon biology, conservation, and ecology. ❤️🌎
.
I did weeks of research trying to find the best artist and studio for the task. My good friend @vaughn.lodge developed the initial tattoo concept, and the amazing @ruth.or.dare.tattoos at @black_rabbit_tattoo (in Richmond, VA) brought it to life! Thanks so much for the amazing work Ruth! 🦈🔥😍
.
Since I was headin’ to Richmond, I knew I needed to load up on some local #craftbeer. I found some amazing brews including the most fitting brew possible, the “Great Return” American IPA from Richmond’s own @hardywood brewing! Great Return supports the work of conservationists to return “…the endangered Atlantic sturgeon, a prehistoric, yet majestic behemoth of a fish, […to] the James River […] in Richmond. […] purchase of this beer supports the James River Association. The JRA’s core programs include Watershed Restoration, Education and Outreach, River Advocacy and the Riverkeeper Program.” 🫶
.
I will always cheers to sturgeon and fish habitat restoration! 🍻🍻🍻 Thank you @hardywood! 👍❤️

This list took a while to put together 😂. Lots of honorable mentions left off, like Dragon Age Origins and Stellaris. But this feels right. 👍 by @homebrewhero_dmv

Better late than never! Here’s one of my favorite photos from the 2025 @mubadaladcopen. So proud of you @bigfoe1998! by @homebrewhero_dmv

So proud of my Hardcore Solo Self Found Necromancer this season! Noxannah is still alive and sitting at number 3 on the PSN ladder 🤗. Slow and steady is the name of game for me. Beat the campaign in two days and reached Tier 12 maps in 4. Her defenses are nuts. I’ve been enjoying the new Abyss and Voyage mechanics, though I hate new content in Hardcore 😅. I wonder how far I can take her. LMK if you have any advice for T13+ maps and minion builds. This is the limit of my experience.

Had a blast at #animeink2024! This was my third consecutive year attending. There was a lot of amazing flash and merch. I’d purchased my tickets the day Kira Buckland was announced as a VA guest 😂. So, I was thrilled to get my well-worn copy of Nier: Automata signed! ⚔️ I realize now I shoulda brought a copy of Soul Calibur 6 to have signed since she voiced both 2B and Talim!
.
It was also wonderful to meet Kari Wahlgren. FLCL is one of the most important and formative anime for me, so it was special to be able to chat with the Kari a bit!

Finally made my first trip to @troegsbeer! I’d planned on this road trip back in 2020, so it’s great to finally make it happen. I had a great time with the food, beers, and the famous brewery tour! Sad I missed out on the “Naked Elf” Belgian Dark Strong Ale, but I still got to try many new beers like their “Tripel Nator” triple bock (which was epic)! 😋👍🍻

So excited to see this #melomel #mead coming along so nicely! I made this with some friends that had never #homebrewed before! 😁 It was fun and educational! We named it “Friendship Juices”. 😂 We brewed it on 3/9/24 and hit an OG around 1.053, though with 3lbs of fruit (strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry) in it, who knows 🤷🏻. I was super excited to see the fermentation kick off within 6 hrs! Sure looks and smells good so far!! 🤞 Goal is to bottle these as a sparkling mead and I’m expecting an ABV around 6-7%. 🍯🍻

Stop two in Texas was the legendary @weatheredsoulsbrewing_satx! This visit had been on my bucket list for years, so I’m glad to have finally made the trip. Tried a bunch of their brews and the standouts were certainly the big imperial stouts. All the imperial stouts struck a lovely balance of expressive flavors, like coffee, vanilla, and chocolate flavors, without being unsettlingly sweet. I feel that adjunct and BBA stouts often end up almost too rich and sweet sometimes. These were all vibrant without feeling sugary and heavy, which was great. 👍🍻

Recently helped a friend with their first ever #homebrew day! This was my first time doing a partial mash, as I started with all grain recipes. We decided to try something simple, so we went with a Belgian Saison kit from @mdhomebrew. The actual #brewday and subsequent #bottling days went shocking smoothly! The only recipe modifications we made were to use some salts and lactic acid to adjust our pH to 5.5. I’m hoping that will help with the mouthfeel and take us from an “OK” beer to a “good” beer. Overall I’m hopefully we’ve made something memorable for a first effort. 🤞🍻

What an adventure! Months of planning, patience, 9 hours on the table, and we won 2nd place in the Saturday Lewd category at Anime Ink 2023! It’s an honor to have an award winning tattoo of one of my favorite Waifus! Thanks again so much @fakkubunny! I love my 2B and POD 042 so much! 🥰
