“we are human beings, not human doings” something my friend Heather reminded us of so clearly at a women’s gathering i attended earlier this week.

this sentiment has stayed with me as the week moves on… awakening and softening something at the same time. not new information, but something remembered in a different way. in a new container. one where i was simply receiving.

part of why i love Cha Dao so much is that it brings me back to this truth… a quiet remembering. a slowing. a space where nothing is needed, nothing is performed. just sitting, breathing, being. whether i’m serving or receiving, i’m always being met there too.

as i’ve sat with tea this week, i keep returning to this knowing. the subtle, uplifting nature of spring teas carrying a sense of renewal… not loud or forceful, but steady. alive. unfolding in its own timing. each sip a small return to what is already within.

a space where we can simply be. where, for a moment, the labels, responsibilities, and expectations fall away… and what’s left feels true.

a place to land… to soften the edges of burnout, to tend to the nervous system, to listen a little more closely.

a space to feel held, cared for, and like you belong.
where we can just be here, now.

the remembering finds us again and again, in different forms, at just the right time.

and maybe that’s enough.
just a place to come back
to yourself.

There is something about this time that feels like standing in between worlds.
One season closing, another not fully here.

I’ve been feeling this in my own life in very real ways.
Motherhood continues to open and stretch me, often all at once.
Moments of deep love, gratitude, impatience, anger, loneliness, and even a sense of defeat.

I’ve been meeting parts of myself I didn’t expect, while also holding so much gratitude for this season.
More than anything, I’ve been sitting with the experience of being in between.
Not quite where I was, and not fully where I’m going.
And instead of rushing out of that space, I’ve been learning to stay with it.
To trust that there is something here. That this middle space holds its own kind of wisdom.

One simple practice I’ve been returning to is tea. 🍵
Three bowls. First to reflect, second to release, third to plant seeds.
Move slowly, breathe, and let clarity come in its own time.

This is the rhythm of the season.
The Equinox brings balance, but it doesn’t demand immediate action.
Spring begins as a subtle stirring. Something quietly gathering strength beneath the surface.

You don’t have to have it all figured out right now.
There is wisdom in allowing things to unfold slowly. 🌱 by @honor_within

Most of you know I don’t really align with “New Year’s intentions.”
The Gregorian New Year arrives while we are still deep in winter, a season meant for rest, listening, and inward tending.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the new year doesn’t begin until February 17, and within the Wheel of the Year, the cycle actually turns at Samhain (October 31). Action, clarity, and outward movement are more naturally called in during spring.

With that in mind, 2026 isn’t about resolutions for me.
It’s about devotion into rhythm.

A steady cadence.
Tea as an anchor.
Listening before deciding.
Letting what wants to emerge do so in its own time.

This offering reflects that. Monthly sacred tea ceremony, with women’s gatherings woven in at seasonal thresholds. An invitation to slow down, sit together, and remember what cannot be accessed through words alone.

You’re welcome to hold these dates gently as placeholders. More details and invitations will come as each gathering approaches.

Tea meets us exactly where we are. 🍃 by @honor_within

Grateful is an understatement.

Last week, Sonny and I began settling into morning tea ceremony together… a slowing, a softening, a way of meeting the day with breath and warmth. He’s known tea his whole little life, but this is the first time we’ve stepped into the ritual of it side by side.

Some mornings feel like pure stillness. Others are messy and brief. And yet, the devotion remains… the returning, even when it looks different than I imagined. Motherhood has taught me that ceremony doesn’t need to be perfect to be sacred.

Sharing this practice with him has been one of the deepest blessings of this season, a reminder of how simple moments become portals when we choose to be present.

And as the season slowly turns toward winter, I feel called to offer that same presence outward with two more opportunities to sit together:

🍃Sunday 11/30 - Women’s Tea Ceremony
✨Sunday 12/14 - Yule Women’s Circle

I would be honored to share space with you as we close in on these final moments of 2025 - before we move into our slumber.

With endless gratitude for my teacher @_intotheheart_ and her teacher Wu De @globalteahut for lighting the path that brought me here. by @honor_within

When a picture emotes a feeling… 🍂
A cool breeze. A warm bowl. The comfort of other like-minded women. The unfurling of the leaves as they help you remember. Being present, still, and alive.

Sunday’s tea ceremony was just that - perfect in its simple beauty. The kind of day where it’s a little chilly outside, the sun is shining, you’re wrapped in cozy layers, and a hot "cup of tea" feels like a gentle hug. I had the joy of sharing this space with a beautifully intimate group of 4 other women, and it was magical. ✨

If your heart is calling for a morning of presence, warmth, and connection, there are still spots for this Sunday’s tea ceremony. 🍃🤍 Come join us and let yourself be held by the ritual, the tea, and the circle of women. by @honor_within

I know, I know - I’m not exactly winning any awards for social media marketing 😅 But my lovely community asked for an easy way to revisit the dates, so here we are. Not the prettiest post on the grid, but offerings are straight from the heart <3 Love you all!! by @honor_within

I really do enjoy taking these snapshots - little moments of beauty and glimmers. A small reminder that there is so much more to the world than the stresses our minds like to harp on.

It’s in these moments that I’m able to truly cultivate peace. And I’m so grateful I get to share them with others. Sometimes I wish I could just sit in these spaces forever. I often find myself marveling, after everyone leaves, feeling a bit desperate to soak up one more sacred, perfect moment.

And then I remember: there’s so much joy elsewhere too - it just looks different. But it's sifting through the moments that aren't "perfect", sacred, or joyful. That's where the practice is. Knowing that all of it can't exists without the chatter of the mind. The dark. So why would I try to get rid of the pieces that make the joy possible?

And so I continue to sit. To share. To practice.

We will keep going, together. In sacred serenity. With a bit of solitude. Over tea, tears, laughter, conversation, and ritual. Humming together in such harmony that we forget which voices are ours.

For we are all one.
We are all sacred.
We are all loved - in it all.

If you’ve been wanting a place to slow down, to land, to be held in the company of other women - this is your invitation. Join us every Sunday for tea & women's circle. Dates and more info are in my bio <3 by @honor_within

A personal invitation to join me in ceremony every other Sunday.
& an intimate peek into my tea vows:

With an open heart, I vow to honor tea as a sacred medicine and teacher,
I promise to approach each moment with reverence and deep gratitude,
Carrying her wisdom, lineage, and spirit with care

I vow to find peace in her quiet embrace,
A refuge where the noise of life softens.
I vow to hold space with intention and love,
Treating each encounter as both the first and the last.

With a still heart, may I release any distractions,
And invite in tea’s quiet guidance toward truth.
May each ceremony reconnect me to Source,
To the earth, my heart, and the hearts I serve.

I vow to walk this path with integrity and grace,
Embodying tea’s lessons in all that I do.
Through her teachings, may I return to my true essence
And live aligned with the purpose of my soul.

If these words speak to your heart, come join us in exploring this sacred practice.

Solstice blessings, dear ones!

Today, the sun stood at her highest - the longest light of the year.

And while the world often urges us to do more, shine brighter, the Solstice invites something more gentle:

✨ to pause
✨ to honor what has grown
✨ to rest not because we are depleted - but because we are whole

Spring was full - new creations, yes after yes, and beautiful momentum. And now, my body is asking for stillness. My spirit wants slowness. Maybe yours does too?

As we begin this sacred turn inward, I’m inviting you to gather with me for Rooted in Ritual - a Sunday morning tea ceremony devoted to presence, softness, and soulful connection.

🫖 Rooted in Ritual
A women’s tea ceremony for grounding, remembrance, and quiet reverence.
☀️ Sundays June 29 + July 13 | 9:30-11am
🌿 Tampa Heights home studio
💛 Sliding scale $38–$60
✨ Only 8 spots per date | RSVP here: https://forms.gle/tqZ8HkcUXrP1mjYA9 [link also in bio]

We’ll sip tea in silence, bathe in beauty, and co-create a sacred space that feels like coming home.

If your heart feels the pull - this is your invitation.
To rest. To root. To remember. by @honor_within

Happy June, friends. 🦋

Some of you may have noticed it’s been quieter over here lately, so I wanted to check in - especially for those of you who stay connected through what I share.

A few weeks ago, I deleted social media from my phone and started using a minimalist app to help reclaim my time, energy, and presence - especially with my little one. I still check in from the desktop now and then, but it feels different. Lighter. More intentional.

I’m not stepping away completely, just relating to this space in a new way. This isn’t about rules or perfection - just a quiet shift in how I want to engage with technology, presence, and this sacred season of life.

The carousel of photos gives you a little glimpse of what I’ve been up to lately - moments of slowness, joy, and the beauty in everyday life.

I’ll likely pop on here about once a month to share what’s unfolding in my world and in my work. My hope is that it continues to support or inspire you, even in small ways.

And if you’re craving deeper connection - please reach out by text or email. Or better yet… let’s take a walk in nature or share a quiet bowl of tea. 🌿

There are some beautiful offerings blooming behind the scenes, and I’d love to share them with you - in real life.

Have you tried something similar lately? I’d love to hear how it’s felt for you. ✨ by @honor_within

One of my favorite things about Cha Dao (tea ceremony) is that it sheds our loneliness. It sheds my loneliness. It reminds me that we are all so deeply connected. We are all nature. We are all the same. That there is nothing more important than this exact precious moment in time. It allows me to arrive in such stillness that everything that doesn't serve me falls away. I am peace. I am the divine.

As Taoist poet, Lu T'ung wrote:
"The first bowl moistens my lips and throat.
The second bowl banishes my loneliness and melancholy.
The third bowl penetrates my withered entrails,
finding nothing except a literary core of five thousand scrolls.
The fourth bowl raises a light perspiration,
casting life’s inequities out through my pores.
The fifth bowl purifies my flesh and bones.
The sixth bowl makes me one with the immortal, feathered spirits.
The seventh bowl I need not drink,
feeling only a pure wind rushing beneath my wings." by @honor_within
