Two totally different ways to get creative in the Suite this Thursday!

Bacon and Will Royé are both OGs of the Hang Suite!

Bacon started sharing her spoken word during our open mic nights, while Will brought us "The Fill Up" on Wins-Days. We even had a sandwich named after him!

Now they’re coming back to hang and get creative. Bacon is bringing her love for LEGOs, and Will is bringing his digital creativity.

So bring that LEGO set you’ve been working on, your phone, camera or laptop and come play, create, learn something new or just chill with us.

Thursday | 3–7P

MEET A MEMBER OF TWD SLAM TEAM:
Bacon is a poet & of course everybody’s favorite educator. Frequenting all your favorite open mics around the city, Bacon fell in love with the art of spoken word way back at Say Word Cafe. So much so that they brought their favorite artists out to VA Tech & then later began hosting open mics on the campus of Virginia State University, recognizing the healing powers of having a safe space to speak your mind. Still fairly new to the slam scene, Bacon often shares stories of their journey as a queer & black female & as most folks know their experiences as a teacher in the public school system. Guaranteed to make you laugh, open your heart, or think a little deeper, Bacon brings that hot grease to the mic every time.

Come out to see Bacon and her fellow teammates showcase their work THIS THURSDAY. by @hot_bacon_grease
