Did you know that pottery in #LaGomera is mainly practiced in El Cercado? This is where most of the workshops are located, along with the Las Loceras Interpretation Centre - a must-visit if you want to learn everything about the craft 🤲

🌞 Studying Spanish at Island Learning La Gomera? Here’s one place you can’t miss! 🇪🇸🌊

If you’re taking Spanish classes with Island Learning La Gomera (ILG), make sure you save a day to explore El Pescante de Hermigua — one of the most unique spots on the island!

Just a short trip from the classroom, El Pescante is where La Gomera’s history meets stunning Atlantic views. Once used to load bananas and tomatoes onto boats, today its iconic pillars rise from the sea like something out of a movie. 🌴🌊

Have you heard the Canary Islands word “encarnao”?
In the Canary Islands, “encarnao” is used to describe a deep, intense red color, and it can also refer to someone turning red from anger or embarrassment.
Examples:

“The sunset is encarnao — deep red.”

“He turned encarnao with anger.”

If you enjoy learning real local expressions like this, Island Learning La Gomera offers the chance to learn Spanish beyond the classroom, exploring authentic language, local culture, and the island’s way of speaking in a truly immersive setting.

🇪🇸🤗let’s learn Spanish with Gwyneth Paltrow.

Notice that she speaks with a perfect accent from Madrid 🇪🇸since she lived there for one year when she was a 15 years old. After that, she continued having contact with the language.
.
One language, one life 🥰❤️ do you agree with her? Let me know in the comments!
