POSTS STORIES REELS

The Gray Era 🩶

It’s been 7 months since I made one of the hardest decisions for myself: embracing my gray hair.

I kept asking myself, “How can I ask my clients to show up as the rawest, most authentic versions of themselves when every 3–4 weeks I was trying to hide something that’s been naturally happening to me since I was 16?”

For a long time, it affected me more than I realized. It made me avoid posting videos, taking selfies, and sometimes even looking in the mirror.

Can you blame me?

We live in a world that often feels like it’s waiting to judge us. I’ve had people stop me in complete shock at how much gray I have. Sometimes their comments are innocent curiosity. Other times, I can’t help but wonder if they’re really thinking, “Just go buy a box of dye.”

But somewhere along the way, I realized something.

Every silver strand tells the story of a life I’ve lived. They’re proof that I’ve laughed, cried, stressed, celebrated, and grown. And if I’m constantly hiding them, what message am I really sending to the people who trust me to photograph them exactly as they are?

So this is my gray era.

Not because I don’t have moments of insecurity—I absolutely do. But because I’m choosing authenticity over perfection.

And honestly… every month it gets a little easier.

If you’ve been thinking about embracing your natural hair, wrinkles, freckles, scars, or anything else you’ve been told to hide, let this be your reminder:

You don’t have to earn the right to exist exactly as you are.

Here’s to showing up—gray hairs and all. 🩶

Big shout out to my girls @parkdistricthair who have been with me throughout the process and have made it fun.

Another shout out to @chanellesoncini who has no idea who I am but has helped normalize seeing young woman grow out the grays and still look absolutely beautiful. Thank you for being unapologetically authentic.

Our sessions are never just about clicking a button and moving on.

From guiding you through each pose to carefully selecting location and light, every detail is considered.

The goal is never just photos — it’s creating space for you to be seen, and capturing the art of who you are.

NOODS⚡️

Are you on the verge of doing an empowerment or intimate session but you are unsure because you don’t want it for everyone and their mama to see. The creative clause in our contracts can be scary but here is a tip! Find a photographer who will communicate this to you! There are 3 options you can do.

1. Communicate that you don’t feel comfortable if any of them are shared. I have more than a handful of clients who request that it is for their eyes only and I respect that and will never force anyone to do something they are not comfortable with and will never deny booking your session because I am not able to share them.

2. Request that only the faceless photos can be posted! That way if you want your photographer to share but don’t want any one to know who you are then you have the best of both worlds!

3. Request to make a favorites folder with only the ones you feel comfortable with posting. I may be bias but there are no bad pics of my clients, all of them are gorgeous! But we can be our own worst critic so allowing my clients to pick their favorites gives me a peace of mind that they are loving sharing with the world the art we created and how much of a babe they are!

Scene 01: A love story from another lifetime.

A little haunting, a little romantic, and entirely timeless.

Beneath the Spanish moss, where candlelight flickers and vintage details tell stories of their own. An ode to old-world romance, unconventional beauty, and the kind of love that feels like it belongs in another era.

For the nostalgic souls and hopeless romantics.
