V-Tech photo dump Pique #21 edition, some photos I remembered to take while having fun✨
Thank you to everyone who let me take their photo, and thanks to @debaser__ for having me 🩷 by @hug.mosh

My name is Gette Engine and I can’t thank @debaser__ enough for having me out to close Pique #21! 🩷 This set felt like the culmination of a year’s worth of work playing hybrid sets with my SP-404 and refining what I want to contribute to the dancefloor as a DJ and producer

Thank you to everyone who stayed until the end of the night ✨ Thank you to the production team for their amazing work 🫡 And thank you to @luniverse.jpg for taking these photos of me 🙏

Leave it to Ottawa-based DJ, rapper, and organizer @hug.mosh (Gette Engine) to bring the booty-shaking beats to Pique #21 🍑⚙️

The multidisciplinary artist wears many hats. As co-founder of @perpetualengine Social Club, she helps create space for queer, racialized, politically active, and experimental artists to gather and showcase their work.

Behind the decks, Gette Engine’s hardware- and vocal-backed sets blend dance-floor edits with genre-melting production, pulling samples directly from Black and queer internet meme culture. She has graced stages across Canada both as a DJ and producer and as part of HUG MOSH, her collaborative hyperpop and hip-hop project with VJ @flexpanther.

i’ve been hearing through the grapevine (the thoughts that keep me up at night) that the people wanna dance. they wanna release sum. they wanna shake sum.

this sunday’s @plantains.caviar brings you BOOTY SHAKING MUSIC. weaving sounds for your ears and bodies through ghetto house/tech, juke, bass, club and vogue beats. all eras, all night, no stops. for the freaks who need sum.

doll up with your friends and come on over to @cityafterlight to sweat, groove, vogue and hip rock to eclectic mixes by our brilliant lineup:

THE ENGINE NEVER STOPS 🚀

Friday July 3rd we are back with our third standalone meetup of Engine Social Club, and arts based social for queer, racialized, experimental, and politically active artists based on the unceded territories of the Algonquin Anishinaabe people.

Buryak is an open format exploration of the experimental and cerebral nature of club music inspired by our contemporaries in Eastern and Central Europe. Originally conceived by @hug.mosh and @flexpanther in 2022, we are so happy to be bringing this event back to a new venue, @fono.613.

The event features our very first out of town artists, @kerubbyvi based in Toronto and BURYAK alumni @trenchfootaudio based in Montreal. Alongside them, we welcome @remedio.613 showrunners @a__and.re and @bleupale.sounds, who is also returning to BURYAK as a past alumni, as well as Gette Engine(@hug.mosh) with a hybrid SP-404/DJ set. We have @flexpanther providing live visuals for the evening in the FONO ballroom 🪩

This event is a non-perishable food drive! We will have our customary Engine zines available for PWYC as well as merch, patches, and more. Bring one or more non-perishable food items to be entered into a draw to win a merch package 🤞

Tickets are available online, check 🔗 in bio to purchase. Space is very limited so please be aware that once sold out there may be no tickets available.
