🤝In 2023, the UK government handed a massive contract to handle huge amounts of sensitive NHS data to an American software company known for its role in surveillance, drone strikes and deportations - Palantir. In the CEO's own words "Palantir is here to scare our enemies and, on occasion, kill them." 🤝

🚨Healthworkers, patients and data professionals have been ringing the alarms on the ethical, professional and practical issues with the contract for years. You can help in this urgent push!🚨

📃In February 2027, Palantir's contract with NHS England comes to an end. The government has a choice whether to extend it or break the contract.📃

⚠️This decision will be made imminently.⚠️

Palantir is a software and AI company which supplies ICE, the US military, the Israeli military and police forces. It currently has a contract to handle huge amounts of sensitive health data for the NHS. But that contract comes to an end in 2027 - the government must now choose whether to extend it, or break the contract. We need YOU to pressure them! by @hw4fp.uk

Imagine your most private secrets being handled by a company linked to surveillance and human rights abuses. That’s exactly what’s at stake with Palantir in the NHS. The company is set to benefit significantly from its NHS contract, whilst simultaneously supporting genocide, deportations and drone strikes. We have a critical time frame to stop the software before it’s embedded, and NHS England can cancel the contract in Feb 2027.

Medact’s new briefing, ‘Concerns Regarding Palantir Technologies in NHS Data Systems’, arms NHS staff, watchdogs and patient advocates with the facts they need to stop Palantir’s rollout. The briefing is endorsed by the Good Law Project, Privacy International, Just Treatment, Corporate Watch, United Tech and Allied Workers Union, and supported by Amnesty International.

No Palantir in the NHS West Yorkshire & Troublemakers by @hw4fp.uk

Palantir is worried about losing its NHS contract, and it is showing.

The US spy tech company hired Tom Watson, Labour’s former deputy leader, to act as its new UK government lobbyist. Watson has spent his first month going to war with the patients, health workers, MPs and policy experts campaigning against the contract, while repeating claims about the software that NHS England has since had to revise.

Palantir’s £330 million NHS contract is up for review, the government can choose to scrap it, and the decision is being made in the coming weeks. Take action to get Palantir out of our NHS for good - link in our bio. by @hw4fp.uk

112 MPs and 6 councils have formally backed the break clause in Palantir’s NHS contract. Is yours on the list?

In recent weeks thousands of NHS patients have written to their MPs and councillors urging them to back the break clause. 112 MPs and 6 councils have now formally supported that demand. Many more have not yet made their position clear.

Take action:
🔵Swipe through to look for your MP and council. If they’re not on the list, tag them in the comments and urge them to back the break clause.

🔵Write to your MP, council and NHS trust. It takes a few minutes. Link in bio.

🔵Help us keep the tracker up to date. If you know where your MP or council stands on Palantir’s NHS contract, tell us through the quick form. Link in bio.

The government’s decision on whether to extend Palantir’s contract will have major consequences for patients’ rights and the future of our health service. Our movement must pile on the pressure for politicians to speak out.

Termination of contract delivered to US spy-tech company Palantir's door.

Hundreds of NHS patients and health workers rallied outside Palantir's London HQ with a giant copy of its £330 million NHS contract, stamped TERMINATED.

Now it's the government's turn. Ministers are deciding whether to renew Palantir's contract, and the decision is just weeks away. We demand they use the break clause and end this contract for good.
