We are so excited to announce that the legendary @hybridbanduk have remixed our record with @samsaruh_music 'Beneath The Silence'. Their music has been a huge inspiration to us for many years, so to hear them reinterpret this song through their own lens is a genuine honour. As always, it's a masterclass in production, sound design and musical storytelling. Thank you Mike & Lottie for doing such a sterling job! Out today, link in bio to listen 🤍 🙏 by @hybridbanduk
@hybridbanduk step into the world of @planetofsoulsmusic, with their brand new remix of ‘Beneath The Silence’. “Hybrid has always been a huge inspiration to us, so when they asked to remix the track we were genuinely honoured. The moment they delivered it, we had huge smiles on our faces – they took the song somewhere completely unexpected whilst respecting the emotional core of the original. Unmistakably classic Hybrid. We were blown away.” - Planet Of Souls by @hybridbanduk
Photo dump alert. We’re very privileged to have had a chance to experience this year’s BAFTA Television Awards with a talented and hilarious bunch of film makers, directed by the majestic @andyrworboys who invited Lottie to score Unforgotten : The Bradford City Fire which was nominated in the single documentary category. A lovely night surrounded by the great and good of the UK TV industry. #baftas Photo Credit : Rowben Lantion / Getty Images by @hybridbanduk
Lottie has written the score for beautiful and powerful documentary airing on BBC2 tonight. “I’m Incredibly proud to have been part of the amazing team on ‘Unforgotten. The Bradford City Fire’. Writing the score for this film has been deeply moving. Inevitable sadness but so much positivity. I have to thank Director @andyrworboys and @jaimie_d_cruz for bringing me on board.” Unforgotten is on BBC2 tonight at 9PM & on iPlayer. @flighty_01 @o_o_oliver @dan_s_weinberg @hybridlottie by @hybridbanduk
Happy New Year! We have something brand new we’d like to share with you, something large to start the year properly, a track that we’ve been working on while recording our 7th album. It’ll be available exclusively on Bandcamp in advance of the release of our first EP (this track included) later in the month to give you an idea of what’s to come later this year. Siren Of The Storm is a track we’ve wanted to make for some time that feels like the roar of a storm approaching from a distance, ever increasing intensity and emerging from a dark angry wall of cloud. This is how we imagine the sound of a storm’s battle cry, fierce and growling elegance in the midst of the chaos. We hope you enjoy this brand new start to 2025 and wish you the very best for the year ahead. Mike & Lottie. by @hybridbanduk
Today is the 25th anniversary of Wide Angle being released in the UK. 25 years ago!!!?! Holy shit. That’s terrifying. The album that kicked off our careers and took us all over the globe.⁣ ⁣ It had such a big impact on our future and was written with no expectation of doing anything other than getting a vinyl copy for our record collections. Just pure naïve passion and youthful idealism with little regard for whether anyone would actually listen to it.⁣ ⁣ Lots of firsts happened for me, Chris and Lee making this album, First full length LP, first time hearing an orchestra play our music, the first time being held up by a Russian taxi driver, first time drinking black vodka on the deserted top floor of a hotel with ex KGB security at 6am. Some first were a bit better than others..⁣ ⁣ I thought it was a good time to dust off the vinyl copy and even found the original acetates which are still intact and playable. Also, there’s a story about the recording of the orchestra in Moscow with our friend Sacha Puttnham on our Patreon with an audio recording from the desk during the session, for those of you who are already subscribed.⁣ ⁣ Happy 25th Anniversary Wide Angle and raising a glass to the magnificent Julee Cruise who was so lovely to us and gave us the story and the soul of the album.⁣ ⁣ #debutalbum⁣ #chrishealings⁣ #leemullin⁣ #juleecruise⁣ @sachaputtnam distinctiverecords @hybridlottie by @hybridbanduk
Something for our Patreon family, we’ve just posted a new compilation of rare and unreleased music from our scoring back catalogue. If you’d like to join in the community, follow the link in our bio 🤘🏻 by @hybridbanduk
Legendary Icelandic bass producer Balatron turns in a soaring and immensely heavy remix and dub of our new single Calling Your Name. ⁣ ⁣ A sultry and bass heavy cyber noir affair with an orchestral flourish. Our new mid tempo single Calling Your Name is laser guided for late nights in dark rooms and equally suited for hiding in your headphones the morning after. Dirt and beauty, grace and sweat all mixed together. ⁣ ⁣ This song has been stalking our albums for many years but never found the right home. While writing the score for the forthcoming film Deep Fear, we found the perfect spot for it over the end credits. ⁣ ⁣ Featuring Stu Morgan on guitar who adds his trademark swagger to rock out the track’s finale. ⁣ ⁣ Available from all good (and dubious) digital outlets and here on Bandcamp in pristine 24bit 48Khz. ⁣ ⁣ We hope you enjoy our new release, our 7th outing on our own boutique label, Kill City Records. ⁣ ⁣ Mike & Lottie. x by @hybridbanduk

We’re very proud to have contributed to the new #fastx soundtrack with our rework of @annapep3 ‘Bando’ feat @sickmadman & @thetruegemitaiz which is out on all platforms now🤘🏻 ⁣ The Fast And Furious musical family have been a big part of our lives since 2011 and we love the opportunity to add our influence to these outstanding tracks.⁣ ⁣ A big thank you to Mike and Rachel and all the @nbcuniversal family for your support and belief in us and we wish you every success with the next instalment of the Fast & Furious story. #rideordie #fastx #fastxsoundtrack by @hybridbanduk
A titan of a composer left us today, Ryuichi Sakamoto has left a long and distinguished catalogue of music that is achingly beautiful, angular and playful all at once. We’ve all lost a musical maverick.⁣ ⁣ We asked for permission to use his and David Sylvian’s track World Citizen for our Soundsystem 01 mix album many moons ago and asked for an a capella to use in the mix. He personally sent us stems for the whole track and wrote on the CD to wish us good luck. What a gentleman.⁣ ⁣ Watching the 1992 Wuthering Heights tonight and raising a glass to a true original. 🖤 #ryuichisakamoto by @hybridbanduk
