IAH, Seoul is presenting Heemin Son, Noah El Hachem and Soojung Jung @iah_seoul @sonnnim @noahelhachem @sooj.jung IAH is a contemporary art gallery based in Seoul, founded in 2022. The gallery works through spatial, material, and linguistic structures that unfold over time. We are grounded in a belief that form operates across material and perceptual dimensions, shaping how relation is sensed and how presence takes form. IAH works with artists through long-term dialogue. Each exhibition and fair grows from what has been developed before, allowing the program to build through duration, context, and continued exchange. The gallery sustains a practice across generations, geographies, and mediums, contributing to contemporary art as a shared field. IAH is pleased to present Roadside Picnic, a solo exhibition by Jaeyeop Kyoung, opening October 8, 2026. Kyoung reconstructs scenes drawn from everyday experience through memory. Repeated forms and altered perspectives organize the density and rhythm first registered in those moments. Roadside Picnic begins with a crowd of morning commuters encountered by the artist while returning home at dawn. Cars filling the road, heads ascending a staircase, and footsteps falling out of sync form a rhythm of congestion, movement, repetition, and interruption. Within these daily passages, the familiar becomes strange, comic, and beautiful at once. — Opening October 8, 2026 5–9 PM On view October 9–November 1, 2026 12–7 PM Last admission 6:30 PM Closed Tuesdays IAH 62 1F, Ewha Building, 62 Dasan-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul Inquiries official@iah.kr by @iah_seoul

Floral Camouflaging began when the artist asked her maternal grandmother, Shin Inho, why she never wore clothes without floral patterns. Shin Inho explained that, paradoxically, clothes without flowers made her more conspicuous. What appeared excessive and flamboyant to the artist was, for Shin Inho, a form of protective clothing and camouflage that allowed her to live among women of her generation. Yaloo collected fabric swatches actually circulated in the textile market and fed them into early generative AI models, repeatedly using images generated by one model as training data for another. From a distance, the resulting images resemble familiar floral patterns through their repeated arrangements and colors. Up close, however, petals and stems begin to fall out of alignment, revealing forms that resemble the organs, shells, eyes, and tentacles of unfamiliar organisms. Between AI-generated forms of plants that do not exist and an overall composition that remains recognizable as a floral pattern, the work explores the relationship between familiarity and estrangement, camouflage and exposure.
