The Chicago skyline reminds me of one of the names of God.

The beauty and vastness of the skyscrapers remind me that there is a God—the only true and living God—who is far bigger and much more beautiful than these buildings. This God sits high and looks low. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. This amazing God sees me... and He sees you, too.

He sees.
He knows.
He cares.

This God is El Roi... the God who sees.

Yesterday I had the honor of preaching at an event hosted by @evangelisticcrusaderscogic. I grew up in the church and attended there until I was 26.

This church gave me the foundation that my faith rest on today. It was truly a full circle moment. by @jude3project

This young man is 19 today.

I cannot believe how time has flown. I am grateful to the Lord for him. Though raising a kid on the spectrum has been challenging, being his mom is one of the greatest joys of my life.

My absolute FAVORITE part of my song More Than Chicago is the chorus. It starts with a phrase that I often use when someone asks me what part of Chicago I’m from. I’m a PROUD southsider (Go Sox!) and tried to reflect that in the video.
I highlighted places like Old Fashion Donuts in Roseland, Harold’s on 103rd, Italian Fiesta on 71st, and my alma mater CVS.

It will always be Southside till I die. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
