Ground to Grow is live.

This space was created for the quieter, more tender parts of the fertility journey.

The parts that are often carried privately, even while they deeply affect the heart, the body, and our sense of self.

The waiting.
The hope.
The disappointments that can feel so hard.
The stress and effort of trying to keep going through so much uncertainty.

Ground to Grow is here to support the emotional weight of infertility.
You don’t have to carry this alone.

A place for reflection, guided practices, and gentle tools to help you feel more steady, more resourced, and more connected to yourself.

With the launch of this page and the new website, I’m so glad you found your way here.

I hope it feels like a soft place to land.

What a beautiful weekend reconnecting with the Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting (MBCP) community!

Fourteen years ago, while pregnant with Shae (after a painful and difficult fertility journey), I was on retreat with Jon Kabat-Zinn for my MBSR training. I asked him if he knew anyone bringing mindfulness into fertility or pregnancy care, something I felt could be incredibly valuable for my patients. He suggested I meet Nancy Bardacke, the founder of MBCP. @mindfulbirthing_mbcp

A few weeks later, at 32 weeks pregnant, I found myself in Nancy’s living room, attending a Mind in Labour workshop and beginning a journey I didn’t yet have words for.

This weekend, sitting with Nancy again, I was inspired to see how her work has grown. MBCP is now offered in 35 countries, and her book, Mindful Birthing, has been translated into nine languages.

It was deeply inspiring to connect with teachers who are doing beautiful, heartful work, and had travelled from around the world to gather together.

And it was a particularly meaningful full-circle moment for me. When I first met Nancy, she was ‘birthing’ her book into the world, affectionately calling it “Daisy.” Now, 14 years later, I find myself bringing @groundtogrow.co into the world, inspired by that same hope of making mindfulness more accessible to people navigating profound life transitions.

Feeling grateful for Nancy’s generosity, the sweet friendships old and new, and the inspiration of being part of this wonderful community. ❤️ by @iamstephaniecurran

It felt meaningful to gather with so many in our community at today’s powwow in Victoria.

To listen to the stories of Survivors, to the singing and the drums, and to be there together in honour and support of Truth and Reconciliation 🧡 by @iamstephaniecurran

Such a fun morning with @wventure.studio for the #VictoriaTechWeek Coffee Crawl. ☕️

We started at @the.puzzlelab, where we heard from founder @tinkaborovinka about her journey and what she’s creating.

Then we zipped around town with @heyyacarts to @voxcellbio to see some of the groundbreaking work they’re doing, before another stop to hear @melodieelated share the story behind @elatecosmetics.

I loved being surrounded by women building things. Different ideas, different industries, different stages, and so much creativity and courage in the room.

It was fabulous to see how much support exists right here in Victoria for women who are bringing an idea into the world, and the connections that happen when we have opportunities to come together.

And it was pretty special for @groundtogrow.co to be invited to be part of the goodie bags alongside some other amazing local businesses. ❤️

Grateful to the @wventure.studio team, @shelleyvoyer, @hedgessuzanne and @jbuczkowska for the invitation and connection, and to @viatec and @tessayyi for helping bring #VictoriaTechWeek to life and creating spaces like this for local founders. by @iamstephaniecurran

Yesterday was such a beautiful farm-to-table experience.

My dear friends Alex and Simon of @uprooted_farmy have spent years tending, growing and creating an incredibly vibrant ecosystem and food forest, with the vision and guidance of @edible.design. So special to share in the harvest of so much care, labour, and love ❤️.

I’m always touched by the many ways we can be generous with one another…by sharing food, gathering together and creating community.

It was such a treat to enjoy a meal harvested from the farm and so beautifully prepared by Tom Kral @natureschef by @iamstephaniecurran

Slow Sundays are the best 🤍 by @iamstephaniecurran

We’ve arrived home from exploring the North Island a day early after Bodhi became sick overnight in our Westfalia van.

A bowel blockage (from sand… seriously?! 🤦🏼‍♀️) had us thinking the worst, but thankfully it has resolved without surgery.

Today he’s been doing what he loves most… soaking up lots of snuggles.

More adventure photos and stories to come, but for now we’re just incredibly grateful.

Hug your fur babies a little tighter tonight, friends. ❤️

Yesterday I was invited to join a thoughtful gathering of women who care deeply about women’s health and well-being.

I left feeling energized, and one idea has stayed with me.

After more than 26 years working in women’s health, I couldn’t feel more aligned with the importance of supporting women across every stage of life.

As both a clinician and the mother of a teenage daughter, I’ve seen that when we invest in women, we’re strengthening families and communities.

There is something meaningful about gathering around a table with people who are willing to speak honestly, listen thoughtfully, and explore important questions together.

Conversations like these remind me that some of our most important work begins by listening and learning from one another.

As we were leaving, each of us was gifted a copy of “Health for All” by Dr. Jane Philpott.

I’m looking forward to diving in. by @iamstephaniecurran
