POSTS STORIES REELS

What a day! 🔥 I had the immense honor of speaking at TEDx AdesuwaRoad today, exactly five years after my first TEDx experience.

The theme was REIMAGINE, and it couldn't be more perfect for my life. On paper, I'm a Computer Scientist (with a Master’s degree!), but in my soul, I am a storyteller. I've been on a beautiful, winding journey where the precision of code gave way to the rhythm of poetry. Now, if I’m not performing on stage, I’m somewhere telling a documentary story. Art truly has taken over!

Today, I shared my heart and history in a piece titled "I Am Benin.

The energy of sharing a story that is so deeply rooted in my ancestry was electrifying.

Remember this: You are not defined by your degree. You are defined by the courage to follow your passion, no matter how much it deviates from the original plan. Embrace the unexpected chapters, because sometimes, the greatest version of you is the one you haven't reimagined yet.

Thank you to everyone who came out to listen and connect. Let's keep creating, speaking, and reimagining!

Thank you @tedx_adesuwaroad

Benin City: A Land of Heritage

I was born where bronze breathes history,
where the walls once stretched 16,000 kilometers,
longer than the Great Wall of China,
yet no history book whispers our name loud enough.
A city where the streets hum with the echoes of oba after oba,
where the soil has memorized the footprints of warriors and kings.

This is the land where Oba Ewuare the Great built a kingdom so fierce,
it traded with the Portuguese before Britain had a navy.
Where Queen Idia led warriors with wisdom and steel,
her face now stolen, sitting in foreign museums,
while her descendants walk past empty pedestals in Benin Museum.

In visual storytelling, exposure is everything, it is the exact moment light meets the sensor to give form to what would otherwise remain unseen.

Today, I had the privilege of anchoring the opening of EXPOSED! The Visual Storytelling Conference 2026 at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub in Benin City.
This year’s theme, "Renewal", struck a chord. For filmmakers, documentarians, and photographers, renewal isn't just about upgrading gear or chasing the latest sensor tech. It is about sharpening our intent, interrogating how we archive our own culture, and having the courage to see familiar narratives through an entirely fresh lens.

Sharing a room with hundreds of brilliant creators, industry leaders, and pioneers who are shaping Africa’s visual landscape was electrifying. A huge commendation to the team at Tell That Story for curating a platform of this caliber, and to partners like Fujifilm and The Nigerian Observer for actively investing in the longevity of our creative ecosystem.

Day one delivered on every front, depth, craft, and community. We are just getting started.

A few captures from stage today. 🎙️📸
