Every year, countless patients search for a life-saving stem cell match—but for those of Iranian descent, the chances of finding one are far too low. We’re changing that.

From March 13 to April 4, we’re hosting 20+ stem cell drives across Canada with a mission to register 1,000 new donors—and YOU can be the reason someone gets a second chance at life.

What do you feel grateful for? 💛 Lately, I’ve been thinking about how grateful I am for the little things we so often overlook and how much change can begin with something small.

It’s easy to imagine impact as something huge, but so often it starts much more quietly — with caring enough to get involved, using the skills you already have, and giving a little of your time to something that matters.

When someone says they won’t join the stem cell registry because they think donation always means surgery…

Bestie. We need to talk.

One of the biggest myths about stem cell donation is that it automatically means bone marrow surgery. In reality, about 90% of stem cell donations are collected through peripheral blood, a non-surgical process that is much more similar to donating blood than people realize. 🩸🧬

Bone marrow donation can happen, but it’s much less common, and donors are fully informed before moving forward.
So no, joining the registry does not mean you’re signing up for automatic surgery. It means you could be the lifesaving match someone has been waiting for: through a process that is often much less scary than the myth.

Myths stop people from registering. Facts can save lives.
