What a day! 240 MILES DONE ✅

12hour8min, a new supported Katy Trail FKT.

Riding 240 miles is a long day no matter how you look at it, but doing a part of it in the dark was definitely an experience. There were a lot of highs and a lot of lows, but somehow I stayed pretty steady throughout the day.

There were moments when I went to some pretty dark places and had to fight some of my own demons. But we kept moving forward, and we came out on top.

This was an emotional day for me for a lot of reasons. I was in a really bad and dark place after my dad took his own life, had a lot of bad days, weeks and months but the people around me showed up and helped me through the grieving process! I thought about my dad a lot out there. We definitely had a difficult relationship, but at the end of the day, he was my dad. He raised me, taught me a lot, and he was a big part of making me who I am today.

Thank you for looking out for me yesterday, Dad. 🖤

I also could not have done this without the people around me.

Pattie, John, and Rickie, I leaned on you guys A LOT throughout those 12 hours. You probably don’t realize how much you helped me keep going, but I couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for being there when things got hard and for believing in me when I needed it most.

Thank you to everyone at SBR for helping make this crazy project possible, everyone who came out, cheered, followed along, sent messages, shared the project, and especially everyone who donated.

This project was never just about riding 240 miles

We’re still working to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention through CHADS Coalition. It’s an incredible organization doing important work, and every dollar can help someone who needs it.

If there’s one thing I hope people take away from this, it’s this: You’re not alone. It’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to have bad days. And you’re capable of a lot more than you think you are.

Sometimes you just have to keep moving forward, one step at a time.

One thing I’ll always tell people: spend your money on a bike fit before spending it on anything else.
•
You can have the fastest bike, the best wheels, the most expensive components… but if you can’t get comfortable and actually produce power on it, what’s the point?
•
A proper fit can make a HUGE difference in comfort, position, power, and ultimately how you feel after hours on the bike.
•
I’m really thankful to have James in my corner. He’s always taking care of me and somehow still puts up with me being a very needy triathlete 😂
•
But I guess that just comes with the territory… triathletes are never completely satisfied 😂
•
Big thanks to James for always getting me dialed in and helping me get the most out of the bike.

Bike fit day is the best day! Tyler and I just took our newly fitted bikes out for a rainy test ride & WOW it made such an incredible difference! We can’t wait to race our first Ironman 70.3 in less than a month! Huge thank you to the team at SBR Bikes & Brews for helping us get everything perfect!

Andy has a new @ride_bmc Kaius 01 gravel bike arriving soon, so we’re dialing in his Fit to make sure everything is exactly where it needs to be.

Our Bike Fitting partnership with the Junior Development Team @south_side_xc means a lot of things, but at the end of the day it can be boiled down to this:
•
1. We believe that support for the next generation of cyclists should start early, because building talent deserves the right foundation.
2. Growing athletes need evolving Bike Fits and consistent development to keep them riding stronger, longer, and more comfortably through their journey to becoming an adult.
3. It’s not just about being fast. It’s about helping young athletes stay healthy and having fun while riding their bikes. That’s what builds passion, and that is what it’s truly all about.
