3 years ago, while skating on the river I saw and decided to chase a peleton of riders from @velo_et_cyclist , since then we have been biking together (when possible) and today it randomly happened to cross our paths again 😍😍

Thanks Andrew Vancoillie 💪 always a pleasure 🙏

WRG2026.... where to start? Good question. But I definitely know where and how it ended....🥂🥂 i flew half a world to be with the skating family even that I didn't race the last 2 years. I had a personal promise to many people, that as long as it is possible, at least 1 thing will be done correctly 🥳 #afterParty we unlocked 1 more party location 😎 it has been 13 years since the 1st party...and a good tradition is better to keep 👊🍸🔥

It felt amazing as always to be with and for the athletes around the track, slowly that shifted to witnessing a hard moment of our sport , which united the skaters in making a solid statement about safety and security. I spoke to many and felt their pain ,disappointment and frustration, I really hope that this will be a point where the sport grows from and not a lower bar to be set as a standard. As I said before, a failing to plan is a plan to fail.

I really want to say big thanks to all athletes, uniting everyone for the last evening to at least go back home with the right set of happiness, was even more important this year.

Shout out to all of you! 🥂🥂

While 2 clubs ignored me, ghosted me, and assumed it is better to keep their door close on Sunday, 1 bar agreed and big thank you also for the owner Alvaro @al_alcazar and the whole team @corner.sportsbar by @ildrory

When they ask me about the best therapy, my answer is simple. Sport. #skating #speedskate #fgp2026 #flandersgrandprix2026 #skate by @ildrory
