Berlin in spring just hits different 🌸
Longer days, soft light, and the kindest faces on every corner.

Some street portraits of a city waking up again. Captured at my first 45 minute photowalk of the year.

@leica_camera has just announced Leica’s Picture of the Year 2025. This year’s motif comes from the legendary American photographer @joel_meyerowitz: “Puerto Rican Day Parade, Manhattan, New York 1963.”. Stunning 60 years ago. A vibrant scene and an absolute masterpiece.

While digging through my archive from 2024, I found this photo. For me, it connects to Meyerowitz’s image in its own subtle way. Maybe simply because of the woman applying her makeup.
